Great suggestion... but I'm not going to be able to pull that off. It's virtually undriveable at this current level of caster. Can't afford a new bumper and winch AND arms right now. I could possibly mimic the weight of a bumper and winch... hang a few hundred pounds off the front crossmember... or sit on the hood while it's on the alignment rack.
Highly recommend getting sand bags then, or buckets of water or whatever you need. Way cheaper than getting arms that aren’t 🤌🤌

Thanks for the intel. What is your current caster #?
Sorry man, I’m traveling currently. I have my #s back home. Will be back mid-next week.

Delta VS’ suggestion sounds easily doable.

Ok I'm going with the 5L's. I hung 200 lbs off the front tow hooks and it barely compressed the suspension at all. Less than 1/2" of deflection from hub to bottom of fender.
I think that’s the right choice. I have 5” of lift with the 6” DVS arms and I love the way it drives. Not sure how much caster it has as I never bothered to check.

Those HD Slinky’s are no joke!
Yeah for real. I'm going to have to play around with the CDCV adjusters on the shocks to dial in a smooth ride...

Good to hear. I talked to my tire/alignment guy and he too suggested the more caster the better. Says many of the bigger full size f250's on 37's are running +6-7* for added stability.

Order placed this morning. Hopefully they are in stock.

-edit- yep! They shipped today. Be here by Saturday!

Next up is going to be the T-case, hubs, axles and knuckle rebuild. And since mine's a 94. I'll have to add the locking center diff button to complete the part time kit.

Delta 5L arms are in! Install was a piece of cake... little ratchet strap action to pull the axle forward and a little wiggling to get the hole lined up and they were in there! Have to wait till next week to get the alignment numbers but it already drives a thousand times better.

If I had the cash I would definitely go with the @Delta VS arms. But I am hoping the @eimkeith radius drop brackets will help with caster along with the caster correction plates I have already. What I am really excited about it not hearing my steering links rub the radius arms when they flex out and make contact.

Scored this sweet ARB rack off a mudder. It's powder coated a cool gunmetal gray and has a tray up front. I wasn't originally going to run a roof rack but this was a killer deal, plus with the family of 4 and a doggo, interior space is at a premium.

I'm rubbing my Delta Arms! Or more specifically the little bracket that carries the abs sensor wires (I believe that's what they are)

Anybody got a clever fix for this? Thought about removing the bracket but then I have to route those wires and would probably end up with zip ties anyway... maybe a smooth steel cover over the spot where it rubs?

Luckily the damage was pretty minimal, considering the impact. Fender flare and bumper took most of the damage. Tire got smacked too, and pushed hard driver. Bent the s*** out of the tie rod.

Insurance paid out fairly well. New parts are arriving daily.

First up: some fresh Tie rod and drag link from Overland Custom Design.

Some beautiful links... pure 7075 Aluminum goodness. TREs are on the way from Cruiser Outfitters.

Got her up on jacks, preparing for the next big phase of work... knuckle rebuild, Steering components, Part time kit with built T case, RCV axles, manual hubs, and more.

Concerned about the sector shaft being damaged during the impact. Looking closely at the splines on the shaft and they look slightly bent.. I wonder if I'm in for a 105 sector shaft upgrade.

Finally got crackin on the knuckle rebuild...

Interesting... looks like the inside of my knuckle ball had some orange paint? I know it looks like rust in this pic... but definitely not rust.
