Hey mate, that will be awesome, I sent you a pm

Recently I ordered a double din DVD GPS unit from aliexpress.com the seller was weihongqiang. I received a tracking number and I checked the tracking regularly to see where it was at. A few days after I received an email from aliexpress.com advising they were refunding my money as this was a scam, so money returned all good.

Anyway today the package arrived from this Chinese scum sucking vermon and this is what I got

Thank god for aliexpress.com otherwise I would have lost my money.

I've sent the prick a few emails, but no reply yet

LOL, only a slight misunderstanding - he just sent you a key ring from a vehicle that has a double DIN GPS unit installed in it... It's just like having one!!!

Haha it's like their subtle way of saying "you know there is a premium brand of Toyota that comes with these units as standard".

Honestly I wouldn't have expected Ali to pick this up as a scam either, you got the good end of the deal this time. Now you've got to try and find a suitable hole to bury the key ring. :D

Thanks guys, I might just treasure this ring

Installed my catch can today

I wanted to try and keep it as close to the intake as possible, also bearing in mind the not getting to close to the exhaust and turbo.

So first I made up a bracket

Tighten the bolts, sits there nicely

I used clear hose and had to use a piece of garden hose on the drain plug, very limited to parts available here in the The Crack

Very happy with the result, although I did think the hose would turn black straight away, but I ran the motor for a while and it still looks clear.

Hi Spud,
are you not afraid that those hoses will melt down so close to the turbo?

Hey Paul, yes mate I'm very worried, but I'm hoping I'm far enough away that it won't. I had a good look around and there was nowhere else to mount it.

So I'll just keep a close eye on it and see how it goes.

Just ordered some new boots for the truck, Kumho KL71 Mud Tyres 35X12.5X15

And Sunraiyser 15X8 Black steel rims.

I've decided to get rid of the wheel spacers, I've only had them on 6 months and I've had to retighten them twice :bang:

Bring on the monster truck :p

Haha cum hoes, they've come a long way since the slippery hard compound days.

I don't know too many people that have kept wheel spacers on for very long, they scared the s*** out of me after about 8 weeks.

Yeah I've had the Cum Hoes (I luv that) 265's on my 200 series for a while now, they are super quiet, even when I had one around the wrong way (directional tyres :bang:)

I need some advice, please.

Question:

Would you ever consider drilling holes in the roof of your 60 series to put in some Nut Serts so that you can mount a roof rack on your roof?

Reason

I have an ARB roof rack that was on my 200 series, has the big long brackets that mount to the roof, I'm looking at putting this rack on my 60 series, I just rang ARB for a price on the gutter rail brackets and they want $360 :bang:

Thanks in advance

Spudman

I personally wouldn't drill the roof they rust just fine on there own without drilling holes in it but I wouldn't pay ARB $360 either. For that money I would buy a Tigerz alloy full length rack I think there only 380 now and half the weight of a steel rack I have the ARB steel rack and it's a heavy bastard of a thing

Hi Spud
can you not cut a piece out of those brackets and reweld it.
I have done it but it was not ARB brackets

Don't do it!!!! I have a 100 Series ARB rack on my 60 and all I did was order a set of Tigerz11 gutter mount brackets to suit the 60 gutters (only about $120ish?). I shat when I heard $350 for the genuine ARB mount kit too.

The brackets had to be drilled & slotted/modified slightly to fit the ARB holes, but came up well.

I really, really like the LabRak ones, but they are super spendy....
I need some advice, please.
