Im 2X on the oxygen addition being the help. Nitros oxide injection add's o2 in large ammounts and we know what it does to performance. The extra H2 in the mix just cleans up the extra 02 and ends as water. Any way interesting hope everyone keeps posting real results. That is the best info in the long run.

There's no added O2. You're adding 2(H2) + O2 which goes right back to 2(H2O).

Just got back into town from stage coach, co. twice over the past week on one tank of petro. Up and down windy mountain road above 7k ft, two snow storms, muddy passes, with 1 passenger, 1 pitbull, and lots of tools. Got 377 miles on 24.48 gal(Had to add out of gas can, I added this into equation) of gas and a few onces of vinegar and distilled water. this comes to my best calculations at 15.4 Mpg. I was getting about 10-11 in similar situation, but it ran like **** without the hho.
I just retarded the timing a couple of degrees from the 10 advance I was running and adjusted the idle a bit. I still need to desmog since my system is defunct anyway and secure a few vacuum leaks. The fj is a work in progress, but I've been pleased with the overall results with the hho so far

Good on you keep postin your results. I HOPE OTHERS WILL POST THERE RESULTS NOT THEIR IDEAS. We can't explane life apparently the combustion process may be difficult as well. If it smells better, drives better, and gets better economy in real life use, what more could we want.

I agree you can't create energy using this but what about looking at it like a supercharger.Taking horsepower to turn the supercharger to push more air into the engine. Just like taking horsepower to convert to electrical to produce hydrogen. Sounds like a lot of transfering on energy to increase the efficiency. You are not creating energy but changing the efficiency of the engine. I think the gain is still so small if any that it is not worth it with these systems. But they will sell them as long as people will buy them. I will stick to my magnetic around the fuel line which magnetized the fuel and increases my gas mileage by 30%.

I'm still curious enough to try a home brew system. I sure as hell ain't gonna plunk down $300+ for a system just to find out that it's not going to blow my mind.

Sorry for the lack of updates lately, been pretty busy lately.

We've got about five more hho generators that will be in various vehicles by the end of the month. Two ford's 150/250, two dodge 3500's with diesels, and a volkswagen. After a few weeks of testing, we should have some good solid results which I'll post as soon as available.


Some important things anyone should consider with a hho system:
1. hho is very explosive, be carefull. one safety measure with hho is that it is lighter than air, so it dissapates quickly.
2. Anyone with the time can make your own hho generator from next to nothing. You could literally make one out of a mason jar, two electrodes, 12v source, and some stainless steel plates. Just look on youtube and there are 100's of examples. You don't have to spend large amounts to create the gas, however, pay attention to the output of gas compared to the amp input. A properly made system will draw less than 15 amps and the output of gas should be 1 or more liters per minute(not hour). Mine draws about 8 amps once warmed up and is rated at 2-4 liters per minute.

3. There are a lot of reasons why you don't see these units on production cars. Cost, regulatory mandates, cheap oil of the nineties, There are also lots of reasons for this technology to be not used or even suppressed by the powers that be. It competes with the oil companies, it makes the engine run cleaner which makes them last longer, you can't tax it, etc.
Food for thought, when congress voted recently to improve the mpg standard to 35 mpg by 2020. Why do you think the auto companies fought tooth and nail to keep just this miniscule rise in fuel economy from becoming reality? We had local radio commercials saying that increasing the mileage of cars was bad for the economy. what the $%$ kind of rational is that. The oil companies keep pissing down our backs and tell us that its raining. There were more cars in the 80's that got over 30 mpg than there are now. Why?

4. They work. The very first ICE(internal combustion engine) ran on hho, look it up. The very first diesel run by rudolf himself ran on peanut oil. Tell someone 20 years ago that you could run an engine on vegatable oil and you would get the same scepticism as with hho. I encourage people that are interested in alternative fuels to do thier research first and all the info that you need is on the net. With hho there is a lot of misinformation or people that just don't understand what they are making. There is a molecular difference between the various gas's produced, ie. browns gas vs. hho vs. straight hydrogen. This difference comes from the way the gas is produced.

5. It's great for the environment. when used with any fuel it cleans up the emissions considerably and the hho turns back into water during the combustion process. Start with water, end with water.

6. There are already generators around the world that run off of nothing but hho made from water. The Magdrive factory is run entirely on hho via a generator. If you go to china or taiwan, they have been using brown's gas in various manufacturing process's for years. you can even get a brown's gas welder there for $300.

7. To all the naysayers out there. Good. Scepticism is healthy. build your own or buy one doesn't make a difference, just get one on your polluting ride and see the results yourself.

Do the research before you decide on a unit. do they have a complete product? Do they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee? Is the price reasonable so you can recoup your costs in fuel savings? How much does it put out? How much power does it consume? How simple is the maintenance,installation?

What about corrosion?
When I was in high school, a guy came from one of the tech schools and told us that within the next so many years, all engines would be running on alcohol. He said that the emissions would be mostly water, so engine & exhaust parts would have to be made of aluminum or stainless.
Wouldn't the same hold true for HHO? Or is the amount of internal corrosion negligable when compared to external corrosion from wet climates, salty roads, etc?

Just thought I'd throw something else into the mix

I've talked to people who have had hho systems for two years with no problems so far. I had the xado ceramic engine treatment done as insurance. I would think that if you were running an engine on nothing but hho, then I would probably opt for stainless steel valves and exhaust system as insurance and use synthetic oil.
I'd be more worried about salt corrosion if on the coast or the magcloride that they use here for de-icing in the winter. that stuff will rust anything within one year.

I think most of us are just waiting for you get your rig back up to spec in regards to maintenance and see the full results. Its hard to swallow all the claimed benefits when your still posting MPG ratings equal to what others are getting with a properly tuned and maintained stock truck.

Personally I believe it works. And seeing your set up in person helped me understand the theory. But as of yet, I have not had the time to research it for myself. My biggest concern would be any long term side effects. This is the only thing stopping me from ordering a duplicate system for my 80.

yeah corbet, I've been a bit slack lately, though I've gotten a few things done. replaced the manifold gasket, spark plugs, timing so far. you know how it is living in condorado about working on your ride not to mention that winter just won't go away this year. Expecting snow by the weekend, again!

We will have a shop with a bay down valley soon, so I'll be able to dial the cruiser in and do a proper desmog and carb rebuild. I must say that the old fj60 is running pretty damn good minus the egr exhaust leak. I've still got to rebuild the knuckles. It's an ongoing project as always.

With $4.05 gal gas here, I've been a bit hesitant about racking up the miles unneccessarily.

anyone remotely interested in HHO or an nay sayer should should check out youtube and search for zerofossilfuel...this guy has 94 pretty scientific videos of his development and tweaking of his hho cell. Lots of good info if you want to build one ...for examle using 316 grade stainless for the platelettes because the 304 grade tends to give off ferrous oxide thus muddying this water/catalyst solution. Also he gives dimensions of his plates and spacing. And a first hand look at hydrogen production with imput rates of electrical current, watts and amps. Also output of hydrogen per watt. One test he even shows an experimental backflow/explosion with pop off valve to see what will happen in the unfortunate event of backflow. Its very interesting!

We just installed a magdrive double brick on a ford f-250, puts out way more than the single brick that I have. The truck is on the road this week doing some long commutes so I'll have some mpg #s within a few days. We were using Ethos FR in it last week to see results of that and so far has been promising. the ford's average base mpg is 12-13 for mixed city/highway driving loaded/unloaded. with the ethos we're seeing 14+ so far and smoother acceleration. We are aiming for 20 mpg hwy with combo of hho and ethos fr.

This is the previous 11a single brick unit. The system has been changed slightly for more effecient production. It draws up to 8 amps and produces 2-4 liters per minute of hho. I have it on 15a fuses.

The brick cell is mounted below on the inside of fenderwall for cooling. the two pvc condensate traps are now eliminated on the latest model and the resovoir replaces them both for removing any condensation. The booster pump now runs from the brick to the c-trap/resovoir which circulates the flow more efficiently.

Any updates on your other installs? You've helped a few friends out it sounds like. Have they shown improvement?

I've been looking into this as well, but the super legit ones seem to involve tapping into your O2 sensor and altering the signal. And also altering MAP and MAF signals. Theory being when your vehicles O2 sensor reads the more efficient burn, (i.e. less O2), it thinks the vehicle is running lean so it dumps more fuel in. Point being, it isn't as easy as some of the lesser kits out there make it sound.

My biggest hurdle so far is that I want to but can't find anyone online who has done this and been signficantly successful, besides those 'testimonials' from the websites trying to sell you these kits or plans.

No offense but your gains don't seem big enough for me to go out and buy/make one. Plus you are also using a fuel additive. There are so many vehicle forums out there and I'm a pretty savy searcher of the net, and I can't find anyone that says; " I bought/made a kit on my car and I'm getting XX% better."

I would like to hear how your friends are doing with theirs...

It is bogus because it takes more energy to make "HHO" than you get back from burning it.

I only spent $12.00 on the contraption, and that was mainly stainless steel bolts that I can reuse in any other project. What I don't see is spend up to $1,000.00 and supposedly get couple more MPG I know some people say one mile here and there is good but I do have a 4 cylinder truck for a daily driver.
