While I was staging the 45 Saturday morning I had responded to CD, using an over used phrase, “Bitter Sweet”!
Through quick face to face conversation, I knew the truck was going somewhere good. Thanks CD for making a tough transition seem almost instantly settling.
🍺 to friendships, and easy conversations.

En route to Amarillo we stop in Phoenix to grab some HJ61 PTO winch parts for @CenTXFJ60 that @Nifski was holding. @Nifksi had a nice well modded Fj45 that met us on the driveway. Tasteful updates. We chatted for a while and with parts in hand, we pointed Brutus to Amarillo...700 miles.

While enroute saw some interesting mods to consider on Hercules that @67azcruizr might approve.

Loved @Nifski’s modifications ! Does he have a different chassis by chance under that “chunkmeister ?” GOOOOOD L👀KIN’ rigski.....
Nifski !!!!

We hit Amarillo at 4:30a. Woke up, looked at what @POTATO LAUNCHER was working on in his stable and then went by Yackster Racing to pick up Old Landy’s block and pistons. Zack really did an amazing job.

Then pointed Brutus home.

Thanks for the opportunity to tag along with the pickers. Truly an epic 3 days of burning diesel fuel. Most of the pics we three have are identical but some are just9 snapshots of memories for myself. Two sunrises, one in Gallup, Nm and another at Sean's place in Tucson. One of many fuel stops along the way. Was driving the Phoenix-Flagstaff route so no pics of the area. I plan on going back to Sedona someday to explore the area. Pretty sure the Coyote and RoadRunner are in the many beautiful canyons.
Last pic is from the backseat somewhere East of that famous corner in Winslow.

Having friends from all over in this great community is truly a blessing. Aside from jobs and locations we are all pretty much the same when it comes to getting things done and understanding what really matters in life. Bottom line is to slow up a bit in this fast paced world to look around. Invest time with someone out of your everyday life, become friends and live life. In the end stuff is stuff but friendships can't be replaced.

@67azcruizr never had Hercules outside while he was building it. Some parts were still bare steel. We wanted to get it to the barn ASAP. We had it covered overnight. Heading there this evening.

@SipLife likes this rig.

Stopped at Bucees as usual.

@whitey45 I have admired the green goblin from a far! It is a cool rig!!! Never did I expect to have some of its DNA. Way cool. Hercules is safe in the Elf Barn this evening. Waiting for thanksgiving break to get things moving.

I may have to rack up some more airline miles and come work on Cruisers in your barn for a weekend this winter.

Pat, you are part of the family man. Welcome any time. We have a pad and room. Stay as long as you want. I will buy a seat for Buddy!

Might have to drive so Buddy can come. Can't see if the 5.7 can run 500,000 miles if I don't rack em up.

Maybe I will go to Richmond KY, Nashville, Huntsville AL, Dallas, Marion IL, back to Richmond KY, then home like last time.
