I would bet that you have jarred an electrical connector loose. Check them all, unplug and replug all the connectors in the engine bay (the one on your distributor would be a place to start). There is also one connector on the underside of the rear passenger side footwell that I believe goes to the fuel pump (correct me if I am wrong). Check that one, its caused me problems before.

Why has nobody suggested checking for broken ground wires? Check the crankshaft position sensor also, pretty sure the later year 1FE used a crankshaft position sensor. If you can crank the engine, you have the CEL and you have fuel pump coming on when turned to start then you're missing spark. I doubt your coil crapped out going over a bump, however, I could see a ground strap coming off or your crank position sensor getting smacked or plug pulled free...or my personal favorite, which I have only had happen in my older K-10 Chevy, the contact in the center of the distributor cap broken free and isn't supplying power to the dizzy rotor.

My guess is, since it was a hard hit, the battery jumped up and shorted on the hood (likely from not being tightened down) which zapped the Fuseable links.

Chances are he is either checking suggested stuff and away from his phone, his phone has died, he is getting a tow truck or something or he met the cast of the hills have eyes and is currently experiencing what we like to refer to as the "alter boy experience" or "deliverance experience" I'm sure it's probably the first on the list, he is likely frantically checking and rechecking everything

Hey Guys
I'm stuck on a trail in panamint valley by Death Valley. I was going along in my '97 land cruiser at a good pace when I hit a bump pretty hard, hard enough to bottom out the rear end. The truck shut off instantly and coasted to a stop.

The engine turns over but it won't start.

Is there a crash sensor on these things that kills spark or fuel? Can it be reset?

We pulled the spark plug lead but couldn't get it to arc when touching the lead to ground. We tested that the coil is getting 12 volts.

It also seems the fuel pump may not be pressurizing. We don't hear it when we turn on the ignition. We pulled the line at the rail, but no fuel came out when putting the key in the run position. However, fuel came out when we cranked the engine, but it didn't shoot out hard, more like it poured out like a hose turned on slightly

Please help!

I would bet fuel pump or something along that line it turns over but won't start hit in the rear end hard enough might have damaged a fuel line or pinched shut. Maybe.
