thanks!

Wait, that comes up as a cigarette lighter cover for a starlet?

my research suggests 55477-10010-11 - listed as "COVER, CHOKE KNOB HOLE" by toyotamarket.ru

Different jobs, different names, differet vehicles, same part.

You could always use a plastic panel push plug.

Ok it's not super clear, and it's RHD, but in my car, there is a hand throttle knob over there. I use it when I'm winching for a longer time to rev the engine and give the amp more juice.

Thanks for all the input. Sounds like in some it's the same and others different. I definitely know mine are different size.

Ok let's revisit this one more time for a definitive answer. This is what I have directly under my ignition: And this is what I have to the left of the steering wheel: Is that round disc from picture 1 supposed to plug the hole in picture 2? If so it doesn't work and the hole I have still looks terrible. Thanks for any help.

I know it's not the intended use but I routed the quick connect for the Cobra WX 75 through that hole.

Where can I get one of these from this picture?

You'll need to do a bit of research first.

1) you need to know if your gas pedal arm has the bracket for the hand throttle. Some had it, some did not. I don't have a picture handy, but there's a c-shaped slot at the top of the pedal arm.

2) there are several options for the throttle knob itself. The factory Toyota one is the proper way to do it, but is a bit more expensive.

Mine is a Toro lawnmower throttle knob, $15. You will also need a 9/16" fine thread nut to mount it, and a piece of throttle stop, plus a cable cutter. I have a collection of bicycle tools, so had a proper cable housing cutter on hand. It's possible to cut with a hack saw or a cutoff wheel and then trim the end with a bench grinder. The cable stop is a bicycle piece for a brake caliper. I found these in the 'misc' parts bin at the local bike shop.

I also use a round file to modify the dash hole slightly to make installation easier.

This pic shows the cable adjuster and the cable stop.

So the Toro cable is cheaper, but entails a bit of hunting for the parts and a bit more work to install, but is functionally the same as the oem part at 1/3 (or less!) the price.
