2nd for gunmetal on black. 10/10 choicePersonally, I think that matte black on a gloss black truck doesn't look good. If you're gonna do black I would do gloss or semi gloss. A dark gunmetal grey also looks really good on black in my opinion.

you could have them powder-coated inexpensively…And my premium Lexus factory wheels aren't in terrible shape except for a little corrosion, would there be anyway to turn them into a gunmetal without making it look too DIY?

Mine we’re about $40/wheel. A good powder coat shop will bead-blast the corrosion away first.
Awesome idea, calling them in the morning! Thanks! Also your rig looks great, what inch left do you have front and back?
Hey not to hijack the wheels thread, but did you have your bumper custom made or is there somewhere to buy that exact model? I've been looking for that specific setup for months now. Looks great
Finally a lift with the same size tires I have! (265/70/17 - Goodyear Wrangler ATs) Looks great...How are you liking the Ironman Nitros? Is this what you got? It’s an RPM Fab in Phoenix. It’s actually the first production one they made. I think they only built them for a short time and now focus on Heep stuff only.Hey not to hijack the wheels thread, but did you have your bumper custom made or is there somewhere to buy that exact model? You lucked out. I'm seriously considering this one from Yota Mafia (grill tubing only) LEXUS GX470 HIGH CLEARANCE FRONT BUMPER DIY KIT - YotaMafia - https://yotamafia.com/product/lexus-gx470-high-clearance-front-bumper-diy-kit/. Is the reduction of 58lbs for the aluminum over steel worth the additional $961?It’s an RPM Fab in Phoenix. It’s actually the first production one they made. I went with 0 offset I believe (same as stock) there was a bit of trimming, but it was all the plastics. I did do a BMC but no rubbing except at full compression and near lock. my front springs have settled a bit though, I was fine before the springs settled (after the trimming).Really like the setup and was thinking of going the same route on my Ash Blue 06. What offset did you get on the RRWs? How much trimming was required to not rub? Thanks in advance.
I think most of the black TRD wheels are matte, some of the newer ones come in a gloss black I believe. A black truck is already so hard to keep looking clean, and I feel like matte black wheels just look dirty faster as well. It's not horrible by any means, just my opinion. I believe the newer TRD wheels in gunmetal have a little more shine to them. FN also makes some replicas that look really good. Powder coating is a good option as stated above, but I've seen some diy rattle can jobs that look pretty good tooThanks aztoytec, yours looks great - I love those FJ 8 holes. The similar style I've been looking at are the Method 316's (kind of limited inventory here in Savannah) TLar25, would you consider the TRD factory as gloss or matte? (Or are there even options?) And my premium Lexus factory wheels aren't in terrible shape except for a little corrosion, would there be anyway to turn them into a gunmetal without making it look too DIY?
IMO this is one of better builds here. Just a clean rig not over done with capable 32's. I will be adding 255/75 thanks to your build specsThanks. It‘s the IronMan foamcell pro, with their UCA’s. Gave about 3” in front and 2.5 in the rear.
I‘d prefer a bit more rake but I have Firestone airbags (for towing ) that I can crank up when needed.
The FCP gear rides well and is great off-road.
Heres a more recent pic.
Good Luck with your wheels.

My use is really similar to yours - similar roads and an off-road teardrop. How do you like those 32" KO2s? I'm running the 255/70 but thinking when they're due for replacement going with the 255/75 - slightly bigger and lighter than my E rated tires. Recently put in Dobinsons all around with just over an inch in the front and kept the airbags in the rear.Well I certainly appreciate the kind words.
It is definitely capable enough for my needs, but then again I’m at the lower (lowest really) end of the Extreme scale.
Light wheeling, 2-track trails, long fire roads, and towing. All in the hopes of finding those epic camp spots.
The 32’s work very well for this, and…bonus…are available in a “C” rated version in the BFG KO2 flavor.
Good luck with your build.
