Bad garage pose with 35x10.50r17 Kenda RT.
It fits in my normal 7' garage with a plenty of clearance to spare. Roof rack removed.

TRD off road wheels with 1" spacer = -10 offset. 3" lift, SPC UCA at E setting, Superpro quad offset LCA bushing to bring the LCA even further forward. No BMC pending further testing. Flex test in the garage shows it rub the pinch weld but did not touch the body mount. It might when reversing under heavy torque. Would need to relocate washer bottle as it would definitely get squashed at full flex.
I love it. I have the same tires and currently have Sequoia rims but I'd really like to paint a set of those TRD/trail edition wheels. They look excellent on yours. I have freedom off-road UCA'S, nothing done to my LCA's, I cut and hammered my pinch welds flat, and chopped the body mounts before getting the 35's on as I'm sure it was needed. I am running 1.5"spacers and am understandably getting a decent amount of rubbing on the rear inside corner of the fender flares. I've trimmed them but need to trim more. It usually only rubs when flexed out some. Haven't looked at my washer reservoir yet. Did you replace the whole LCA's with the superpro ones, or just bushings from them? I'm curious to see your alignment numbers if you've got them.

I did bend the inside of the rear fender well a bit. Our setup differ 6mm in offset. That can make a big difference. 0 offset seems to be ideal for fender clearance but on some side hill it does not stick out from the body enough to protect it.

SuperPro LCA only come with rear offset bushing. I did front and rear offset bushing. It takes a lot more work especially if you want to add Marlin LCA mount brace.

I never took mine to a professional alignment place. From my crude home alignment it should be around 3.7-3.9°caster. -0.3° camber and about 1/8" toe in.

How were you able to tie the air bags into the factory system? I didn't see anything in your build thread on that. I'd love to do the same as we tow quite a bit. I know a lot of others are interested in this too.

This thread helped me out a lot when I was first trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my build, only feels right to pay it forward!

Hopefully this info will help someone who might be in similar shoes.

With this combo the truck sits completely level with stock front and rear bumpers. However since adding the hidden winch setup I may have gained back a very slight rake but to be honest I did not measure to see how much height I lost...but if I did lose any height its really not noticeable at all! I worked with Mike @exitoffroad to fine tune this combo and I am very happy with the results.

I will def need to re spring if I do bumpers but that's not in the cards for a while.

If you are considering this setup and you plan to do steel bumpers I would recommend a re-gear too - unless you want to drive a big slug around getting 10 mpg! Currently I'm averaging 13 mpg w/ stock gearing. The power loss with the 34's is def noticeable and you do feel the extra weight from the 34's but not too much different than my FJ w/ the same tires in 33" - but it is noticeable and worth mentioning.

It was important to me to retain a factory appearance but as you can see, I have still done a fair amount of cutting of the body plastics. I also did a body mount chop and hammered the pinch welds flat to ensure proper fitment of the 34's.

Let me know if you have any questions! Happy to help and give insight however I can.

^^ that looks great! Pretty similar to what I’m going with except I’m going long travel in the rear. I also ordered with Mike at Exit Offroad and can’t say enough good things about him. Now I just need everything to show up so I can put it together

Thank you! : )

I was going to do that initially but at the time the

C59 -675V springs were back ordered and my airbags were on the fritz so I just went standard travel for now.

In case you've never had the pleasure of experiencing what the ride feels like with failing airbags that wont inflate, let me say its really not something you can deal with for very long…it’s so bouncy!

I had mine fail last year and it is a bumpy experience 😅 luckily I already had a conversion kit I hadn't installed yet, and found some 5th gen 4runner springs on FB marketplace for 25 bucks within a day or two.

is your pinch weld already hammered flat? These are on my radar when my ST MAXX are worn

And also did you get 2.5 lift in the front and 2 in the rear?
2" front, medium progressive rear coil which was about 1.75". Still stock on UCA. One reason only did 2" up front.

I love this front bumper cut. Super clean.

Another forum I am on has a thread like this and I found it extremely
helpful in picking tires and lifts.

For those who would like to contribute, post your combination of the tire size/brand/type including lift and any modification to fender, running boards, liners or bumpers. If you have bumpers it would also be helpful if you would post where you got them and what brand they are. You must follow the format along with a clear shot of the side of the GX, (and front for those with spacers).

No chit chat

When I first bought my GX in September of last year I came here looking for some information on wheel, tire, lift combos etc. everyone here pushed me away from 35s, fear mongering me here and there; re-gear??? this and gas-mileage that; and I decided that this was my build and I wanted it to look the way I wanted it to look so I went with it.

Only reason why I say this is to inspire the new buyer to do whatever he or she wants! Just have fun with it, and enjoy it! They’re amazing rigs.

I get a lot of questions of how I’m doing what and what am I running so I’ll share.

Wheels: 17” method 314 17”x8.5” 0 offset
Spacers: spidertraxx 1.25” all around
Lift: Ironman foam cell pro stage 2
Tires: Mickey Thompson Baja mtz p3, 315/70r17
Other mods: Body mount chop, pinch weld trim, spc adjustable upper control arms, adjustable front and rear sway bar links, front bumper trim

I know it’s not perfect but I’m happy the way it turned out! And the plus side is… i don’t rub. Like ever actually ! Enjoy!

How do you have your TRD grill lights wired in? I've been contemplating wiring in 2 relays to turn the TRD grill lights on with either the headlights or the daytime running lights.
