Cool. Exactly what relay do you replace it with?

I had to mess around a bit to find the correct one, some have had luck with the Napa EP34 I think... Have napa look it up, it's just an electronic flasher for our truck. That didn't work for me, I used one from superbrightLEDs.com. You have to pull the "jumper" off your stock relay and slide it onto the new one.

Thanks you saved me a ton of time. What color is the jumper wire?

There is a thread on it here someplace... The jumper is a female connector on one of the pins that runs down and relocates the pin to the other side of the relay... Pull your flasher relay and it will make more sense. You have to pop that spot solder and then place it on the new relay so the one pin "post" makes the correct connection inside the relay box.

Run a search, someone did thread on it.

Has anyone installed using LED bulbs ?

I did.

I kept the original turn signal location as incandescent for reliability and so I would not have to change my flasher. And then I went to the brightest amber LEDs I could find for the side marker, so I would reduce the amp draw on the two circuits in question, since we are effectively adding a bulb to each circuit. I am not sure if the extra amp draw is an appreciable issue or not.

Of minor interest, the LED bulbs are much faster at lighting up when in flasher/signal mode than the incandescents. On the other hand the difference between the (dimmer) running light and the (brighter) flash is not as great on the LEDs as it is on incandescent bulbs. I bought my LEDs from superbright LEDs. I forgot what model, but I can find it again if need be. I am normally not remotely a fan of LEDs for flashers/turn signals or brake lights, as I have found them to not be very reliable, they are often not effectively as bright as the incandescent bulb they would replace, and they are usually quite directional, limiting the range of bright visible light when viewed from the side of the lens. To me that equals not as safe. The technology is getting better though. I have a fair # of LEDs in/on my trailer, in the interior of the 80, back up lights, etc.

Installed. Done.

The ARB lights were all corroded and rusted. So going to buy new one and connected as running lights. Sent from my iPhone using IH8MUD

I will need to get a new ARB indicator lights.
I could not find them on the Arbusa.com site.
Anyone can point me to a source ?

Thanks
Rami

x2

I bought a set I found off ebay...ARB sent me a set for free the next time around.

That said, I've pretty much abandoned them because I'm tired of farting with them. They'll work for a month or two and stop working because they get corroded etc. I can them to work again for another month or so and then they go out again so now they are just for looks.

What is the difference between the Turn signal / Parking light / fender light | $55.00 pr. and the Turn signal / Parking light / ARB light | $50.00 pr.?

I have an ARB bumper w/ winch, but I'm not sure what everyone is referring to as the fender light....

Are you talking about the Innovative harness or ??

The version Gary created to work with the ARB has an extra pigtail coming off of it to reach down to the ARB light. That said, if you've already wired in the ARB lights per the ARB instructions you really don't have to muck with the different harness as they'll work just as they did before. I new harness though will allow you to clean up the wiring and offers the option to change things around down the road easier if you want to change them from parking lights to blinkers or vice versa.

Yes the innovative harness. I want all 3 lights to blink.

Assuming you don't already have the ARB lights wired in so they blink then you'll want to get the harness with the ARB pigtail (which last time I checked was the slightly more expensive version).

If you already have your ARB lights wired in and they blink, then you should be able to use the regular harness and the ARB lights "should" perform just as they did before. The harness allows you to clean up the wiring (i.e. get rid of the Scotch locks if you used those) and change the ARB light functionality to whatever you want. It also allows you to change ARB lights' functionality down the road as well, although that proved to be a tad more effort than I initially figured on depending on if you use the ARB connector on the harness pigtail because it is a bear to get the female connectors on the wires back out of the ARB connector once those buggers get locked in there.

LED light installed. I cut both connector ends and installed tin coated copper from West Marine Sent from my iPhone using IH8MUD

And at night

Nice Rami :steer:

Did you reuse the ARB housing or are those LED lights all new, housing and all?

I don't see a "link above my post". Could you please repost the link or provide the post number.
