I also spoke to my exhaust guy and he is more excited about it than I am..He can't wait to get under it and bend and weld.

If the person doing the install has a good selection of tools then 5 hours should turn out to be quite generous and allow for some stuck / difficult nuts. I had 10 new studs and nuts ready to replace the ones where the stud came out with the nut and save having to split and re-use those old ones and also new gaskets though the old ones looked fine.

On my Pacemaker install the one side engine mount had to be unbolted and the engine jacked up to get clearance to slide the header in because of the studs. That may not be the case for the headers you guys are getting.

This is sort of a bump I guess - I am currently evaluating my LC as a daily driver to replace my VW GTi - I would be selling the GTi to pay some bills, drop some insurance, and fund a few goodies for the LC (still gotta have some fun ya know).

Anyhow, I am evaluating this plan through the rest of March, and will decide to list my GTi April 1 - that would be the day that I commit for the Thorley header. Will advise.

I will be lucky to get mine installed...........the $700 header is going to cost a pretty penny with a HF cat, pipe and muffler.

Suggestions on Cat and or muffler?
