With the lex4vl2 my navigation screen become yellow and when i press audio the scrennbecome dark blank

Are your cd changer still functional with the lex4vl2?

In an 06 LX, yes.

I just press the disc button and it toggles between my DVD changer, VAIS SL3B and VL2

I'd open a ticket with GROM at:

Anyone thinking of buying the vline 2, looks like the GXOR group is gonna hit max discount on their group buy which brings the unit to $440 vs the normal $600

@saucebox @jLB
I just got my vline shipped and after reading this thread was wondering if either of you use something like in the link below to replace the cigarette lighter and extend the usb plug for Carplay?

Amazon product ASIN B00VAJ76SE

I use almost exactly that. Mine is USB pass through (to the VLine of course) and a 3.5mm headphone jack, also to the VLine. The 3.5mm is kind of unnecessary as I never use it.

I looked at something similar for my son's vehicle, and if I remember correctly, it required opening up the lighter socket hole a bit in order to fit. I've contemplated doing something like that, and probably will at some point, I just haven't been motivated enough.

So far I've gotten by with a cable run from the glovebox, through the center console, and poking out of the back of the hand brake opening. This works just fine if you're putting your phone into one of the cup holders.

That sounds about right, though I just forced it through. I remember it being a real PITA, but it did fit without trimming.

Short USB-Lightning cable, and the phone goes in the pocket. Nice and clean (the AHC switch is removed on mine).

Just received the "Wireless CarPlay" is in the latest firmware release (for the VL2) email.

curious for those that have the VLine2 and use Torque, how do you adjust your gauges without being able to slide things around on screen?

Interested in this also as I bought a bluetooth OBDII scanner and torque. Haven't messed around with it too much but would like to see if anyone has gotten transmission temps shown as well

I wasn't able to get an el-cheapo brand ELM OBDII reader to ever work with the GROM, so I bought theirs... ~$30 was ok, and it pairs and works great--I see the default gauges Torque comes up with, but having used Torque on an Android handset--I know it takes a lot to ...manipulate... the gauge layout and/or add gauges... IDK how I will do this on the GROM with the touch limitations there are...

Messed with it some last night and boy it was not easy to say the least. If you're using it on your 2011 in your signature it might make it a little easier, but the touch accuracy on my 2004 leaves a lot to desire.

I was able to add/delete a few gauges by selecting the gear button or I think holding down in an open area. The arrows on the left side of the screen make it easier to scroll so that you're not swiping it and accidently selecting something you didn't mean to. Which is exactly what I did for a few times until I figured that out.

Bumping this thread for updates.

How is the latest firmware holding up?

It looks like the 5.1 was good, the 8.1 introduced bugs & slowed speed, what's the latest firmware now?

Any improvements, comments, concerns?
