got the pos running today with the new motor. drove around vancouver and the temp never went above 190 so those of you that said a black magic fan wont work well youre wrong works good. motor sounds great about like the last one. will post a video tomorrow. i am having a problem with the arbs. the problem is that i cant turn the front on without turning the rear on first they wont work sepertarly. but for now i am happy. i will post video here in the am so check back.:beer::popcorn::cheers: heres a new picture of the motor but looks the same. if you notice this on is not orange. is cool black.

never mind about the lockers i guess you cant turn the front on until the back is on oh well maybe i should read more
 
yes, that is how the newer ARBs are wired
 
well when i was idling in the garage for about an hour it still stay about 190 with the fan on. so i think it will work fine. as far as the arbs go so why did they do that whats wrong with turning one on without the other???? and thanks for the fast install. had the old one out and the new one in and started in 7 hours long night
 
I was looking for the POS you referred to in your first post but couldn't find it. Is it parked behind the blue cruiser? That is a very cool FJ40.
 
yes, that is how the newer ARBs are wired



They have always been wired that way from AU....even with the small blue locker switch buttons back in the late 80's.
 
sold the other motor yesterday. i am uploading video on youtube right now should be ready in a while
 
Motor sounds great. Looks like it runs good in the 40 also.
