That's some good wisdom. I was actually thinking about driving up there tomorrow to check things out but with the 'snowmageddon' they're predicting now I may just watch some movies and make hot chocolate.
Frankly, I think the WX folks have over done their prediction. At least for the ABQ area.

Heres the bottom of 165 after the last storm...

Tried going up Tunnel Spring Trail Head today while tuning the FJ40 in 2wd. Got stopped in a spot that someone had spun their tires all the way and turned it to ice....ok I’ll lock the hubs

And here is the view towards Jemez and Santa Fe...looks like southeast of Jemez got hammered and La Bajada is noticeably snowy!

And it’s snowing now!

We are in Phoenix for a few days - drove over yesterday - but our neighbor says there is 15 inches of snow on the ground and he has heard a prediction of 8 - 20 inches more on top of that. My wife's parents are saying 2 - 3 foot drifts with the wind - they are about 10 minutes away from us north of Sedillo Hill. The house sitter will be snowed in until the neighbor with a tractor can dig her out.

Sorry to be missing all the fun - we haven't seen a storm like this in years.

Im missing it too. Did a video call with the kids a minute ago and there has to be at least 20 inches on the ground.

My 12 year old told me he was getting ready to plow the road. I put a snow plow on my old ford last year and havent got to use it yet. I've shown him how to work it. I guess I will just wait on a phone call to see what he destroyed.

Stay warm folks. Looks like @Dumpolina will have plenty of snow to play in this season. When I get back I will for sure head out on a snow run. My snow chains arent quite wide enough for my tires ill have to modify them a little when I get back.

This is good stuff.

I wanted to go out to my land (north end of Mountain Valley/217) today but it looks like that won't happen. Maybe I can get there tomorrow. I can pull the cruiser out of the garage and make it a mini-snow run.

Probably a lot of snow up there. If the wind starts blowing the drifts will be huge. We had a snow storm like this in 1996 or early 97 and it drifted so bad up there that there was walls of snow on either side of Frost road 10+ feet high.

Lower 165 now and still snowing

I guess a tractor with a front bucket should be a priority.

Im game to be your wing man if decide to go.
So @Manona is Jemez closed up?

You got that right. A blade on the back also gets a lot of use for most of the snowstorms we get.

Come over and check out our Kubota sometime. It's just a little 3 cylinder diesel with a whopping 16 hp, but it does a great job. I think Ali has a Mahindra.

Tractor is a whole lot more useful. I have this.

Was 68° in Ft Walton Florida at 6:00 this morning. Came home to a berm pushed up at the bottom of the road from the county grader and more than a foot of unbroken snow on my road and the plow truck stuck in the driveway. The wife's GX did great climbing up the hill. I am loving the Wildpeak tires.

Plow is good and stuck now. I was able to make a single pass down the hill so I'll just drive the LX down every 30 mins or so while its snowing to keep it broken. I love this stuff.

Hi, anyone in south west part around Las Cruces? I’m supposed to report down there tomorrow for work.
Any info on snow in southern part of the state would be appreciated. White Sands area?
Anyone on here live in Las Cruces? I thought there was one or two? I’m going to be there a couple of weeks,
be nice to meet up for coffee.

Looks like more snow forecast for Las Cruces, probably not going now.

Usually Las Cruces doesnt get a whole lot of snow, but a couple of inches can shut that area down. Very few people down that way can drive in snow.

It finally stopped here around 10:00 last night. We ended up with more snow than Ive seen in a long time.

Had my wife snap a picture yesterday afternoon on the way back up the hill on one of the trips to keep the road passable.
