...and 'turf mode'? This is what the UTV or SxS folks call a locking differential. What I've surmised is that the majority of UTV/SxS owners like to have a spool differential for traction (and probably for slipping around corners). These wreck a lawn, so the lockers are used to drive on 'turf'.
Why do I care? Well, I want to add a locker to my Defender and to make a long story short, I have to manually control the OEM servo motor that actuates the diff lock. If any HDC folks have one of these UTVs with a locking differential, I'd like to hook up my O-scope to figure out what type of control Can Am uses.
I posted up on a Can Am forum a week ago and, well, it's not Mud... so not too much technical information over there.
Thanks in advance!
Rob

Isn't your oscope at my house still or do you have another one?😁

Defender? Did the BJ get pushed aside for something new and sparkly?

Yep, the scope is still in your care. At this point, it should be called our O-scope! 🤣
The new sparkly thing is mainly for yard maintenance up near Taos (in-laws). It's been torn apart for the past year trying to address the turf destruction. When we bought it, the Can Am specs showed 'turf mode'. Turns out that was a typo...
It's a fun machine, but not a Toyota diesel replacement! 😆
