Well I went back at it today. I think a clear head and using longer bolts solved my problems. Luckily I have a handful of different accessories that I haven’t installed yet. The rack arms come with a bolt that is barely long enough, like one thread showing with the most minimal install “sandwich”. I switched to a bolt that was about 1” longer and it went a lot smoother.

Using two washers to space past the roof bracket solved my interference issue with the rack arms.

Has anyone tried mounting the victory roof rack side accessory panels to their rack? Thinking it could be a good way to carry some extra fuel since I don't have a bumber

I have the pins bent to 90 degrees. Redid everything again for my third and fourth attempt. Still looking like garbage.

All tabs have been bent to 90 degrees several times over"

I am in the same boat as you.

Not even remotely impressed with this product, and irritated by lack of detailed instructions.

I am fairly mechanically savy guy and after 10+ tries, It still looks like ass, and cant get all the plastic clips engaged into the dash.

(yes, i have watched his videos)

I'm pretty over it.

Thinking of options:

1) Bring to local fabricator friend, have him cut one up on the waterjet with better metal clipping mechanism

2) Order new plastic backing with clips, try to salvage gamiviti unit and mount it by epoxying to the 2 parts and ignoring the useless metal clips

3) Abort the whole idea, and use suction cup mounts and launch this into the trash

I think the root of the issue is the metal clips on Gamiviti unit arent relief cut enough and bending them over 90 is warping the dash mount.

I dunno. For now, its getting chucked into a pile on garage floor

I like a lot of gamivitis stuff, but that's not one them. It's always looked like a square peg for a round hole. The fit, the finish. I rather ram mount other places than to have to look at that everyday

Yeah, I was perfectly happy with mine as well (and need to get around to listing it in the classifieds along with some other stuff I no longer have a use for now that I no longer have the LC). The fit and finish wasn't perfect since the front left and right corners have small gaps, but it was stuff I could live with. The actual process of getting it installed was pretty easy.

mine works great also. Looks really clean after getting it professionally powder coated.

I’m perfectly fine with the lines being a little off as seen in some of the pics on their site, I was aware of that.

I can’t get it even close to fitting that good.

One of the several issues with this is the tab length on a few of the tabs

As can see in this pic, 2 of the 8 tabs are way too long and you’re unable to get them bent over to hold the plastic portion in place and also warps the metal. 🤬

While attempting carefully and valiantly I broke 2 of the plastic tabs that hold it into place.

I’ve ordered another OEM speaker cover and will decide whether to just put it all back to stock or give this ill fitting product another go, once it arrives.

I think if I trim those metal tabs about 1/4” before trying to install onto new plastic backing that should work,

Should I really have to do all this? No

Have you contacted Gamiviti?

Yeah, wasn’t all that helpful

Sent me some not very detailed pics and just told me to “bend the tabs over as much as possible to hold the plastic in place”

I’m guessing there might of been some variances in different production runs maybe

Mine was super easy to install and the fit is not perfect but absolutely acceptable.

Tim is usually responsive and helpful.

I don't remember difficulty but it has been a couple of years. Here are some snapshots from my phone in early 22 when I installed mine.
