So this happened today. Crazy cool to go pickup this FJ55 and find our sticker from the 90's in the back window. Sadly that is the last time the Cruiser ran. This is literally an answer in search of a problem. Gambler 55 anyone?

Nostalgia!

Please tell us that you bought this for yourself and you will bring us along with your crazy build!!!!!!

Oh it's mine... but it's roooooouuugh. V8 super roughly mounted, full-width axles, also very roughtly mounted. 50% of the body mounts are completely gone. That said I have this odd hankering to get it going again. It may be a bit of a community Cruiser project for some locals. A couple of us did a similar build we called "Big Bear" back in 2003 time frame. We took it to Easter Jeep Safari 2005 and had an absolute riot just getting it ready to go, drove it there and back, rallied the death out of it on legit trails with an open front and a LockRight rear.

I have a small stash of parts free to your good home if you need.

Wouldn’t that be something...all of us sending parts TO Kurt.

Saw your IG post about it. Glad to hear you are building it.

What year?

Was she local?

1972

It was in Tooele, approx 30 mins SW of SLC proper. It’s been moved around as the owner moved and hadn’t had any attention in 15 years or more.
