Fuel Pump Dead.... Denso out of stock

Bumping the old thread as this may help out. I found a still available Denso fuel pump ( 951-0020 ) that worked for my '01 LX470. Looking at the Toyota parts diagram part numbers, looks like the base model 2nd gen Tundras that came with the 4.7 2UZ and the later 4.6 1URs which were made up until 2014 used the same fuel pump, same specs pressure and flow wise as the 100 series 2UZ. The plug has to be swapped with the new larger blade style ( at least on my '01 ) but that's the case with the others like Delphi which I have used on an 80 series. I cleaned the old filter/sock and it fit perfectly on the new unit, it is installed and working great.

Any Denso fuel pump you buy today. Is either old stock if you're lucky, or bootleg China junk. So be careful.

It is not, that Denso stop manufactures of some fuel pump. They sold that division, so they no longer manufacture any.

I got it from Advance Auto Parts. They have them here as well so perhaps NOS: https://www.densoproducts.com/denso-951-0020-electric-fuel-pump --- if its a fake its a pretty good one, says Denso, beefier than the Chinese pump I bought for the connector, etc... Seems like a fairly obscure part to fake, not like coil packs or something, but I guess anything is possible.

You are right looks like summit racing (not in stock ) and advance auto doing fact sell them

For my 2000 LC it says denso 951-0003

But Aisan makes them now and they are the world leaders in delivery systems. I’d be ok buying Denso designed, Aisan manufactured fuel pumps.

Looks like their fuel pumps are manufactured in different locations around the world, including Kentucky and S. Carolina.

Exactly, that was my understanding as well, they are the new OEM manufacturer, part of the Toyota group, still using the Denso design. The one I ordered was probably NOS, still branded Denso, guessing some left in the supply chain. Slightly cheaper option too, still working great in my 01 LX470. Its good to know there will still be production of OEM quality pumps for the near future.
