I decided to replace my oem Fuel Pressure Regulator with a new Napa Echelin FPR. The parts are pretty much identical. So I got it all in place easy enough, put the original brass tab washers that you see in the picture back on and tightened the banjo bolt. I start the Cruiser ('91 3FE) and gas starts pissing out (not dripping but leaking like a sieve) where the washers are. I take the banjo bolt back off, inspect it, replace it and wrench it on real tight. Start the Cruiser and gas is still pissing out. The new part did not come with any washers. When I did my fuel filter last week the new filter came with little brass washers that if you crushed when tightening would create a seal. Does anyone know if I'm suppose to replace these funny looking tab washers that you see in the picture with new washers? The washers in the picture are completely flat which kind of makes me think they were flat originally, so I'm kind of at a loss and I'm a newbie who probably shouldn't be messing with the fuel system.

Yes, those are the sealing washers. They can't be reused, but they don't have to be those. Any brass/copper washers the same size will work.

Remember to thank NAPA auto parts for your inconvenience. Sometimes saving a couple bucks isn't worth it.

true value hardware has copper washers that size. I can't believe those fargin iceholes don't even give you new washers

Haha...good to know because I just went to three major part stores and they didn't have any that size!
They have thick and thin copper washers make sure you get the right thickness otherwise the banjo bolt hole won't sit right. Strange I reused my copper washers when I replaced my fpr no leaks no problems
