Brake dive.....awesomeness/very little
Drivability.....awesomeness/kick butt
Freeway handling.....awesomeness/straight and true
Body lean......awesomeness/little

Off road crawling......awesomeness/we hate leaf springs more than ever

Until then, i guess ill give a short summary of our outing and the product..
HOLY ****. Simply incredible. Going from a leaf sprung 1st gen to a 3 linked 80 series.. completely black and white.
On our maiden voyage, we drove for about 3 hours on the freeway, 65-75 mph, and the link suspension rode like a dream. It drove straight and handled tight with minimal body roll. The body roll was comparable to an 80 series on a slee 4 inch lift, thats it. Once we arrived at the trailhead, I was already sold. After a couple hours on the trail, we had seen a variety of different obstacles. None of them gave me any trouble. I just walked right on through. I had not stop compliments on how smooth this thing was on the rocks from my passengers. My father who has a bad back, almost didn't join us on this run, however, I was able to convince him to join. On our way back home, he normally would have been frustrated and complaining about his back. This time, he was bragging to the rest of the gang about how great his back felt. It's true, these things really are land yachts. With Brian @ 4WU's help and his product, we now have a solution to create a truck that is just as capable as it is comfortable. I don't think the front end came off the ground once, which makes me question even needing a front locker..ha. By the end of our trip, i had beat on this thing pretty hard, in fact, at one point i had the weight of the vehicle on one of the lower control arms and it handled the beating and weight (these links are BEEF!). All of the brackets are strong and held up great. Incredible design and beautiful work. Just for reference.. I beat on this thing so hard i bent the 1ton TREs at the shank about 30 degrees. All in all, I went in to this questioning the final product (on and off-road) and trying to balance my expectations and this project has exceeded my expectations in every way. First best investment i've made was buying an 80 series, second best was working with Brian on this 3 link.

Did you have a shop do the fab work or was it all DIY? I see we're not too far from each other so perhaps I could use the same shop you did.

How much caster did you end up with?
Are you part time or full time?
Would you let your 70 year old mom drive it to the next town 100 miles away?
I spy Hydraulic bump stops are they needed?

This was all done DIY in my driveway. I was pretty concerned about tackling this project myself. However, after receiving the parts and a quick conversation on the phone with Brian, i was confident i could handle it. It really only requires the use of a welder, angle grinder, a couple jack stands and a good floor jack.
Oh yeah - we're gonna need more pics of all the fab work of course Curious to see the coilover towers!

- No swaybar, front or rear.
- 6 degrees of castor, which feels perfect.
- Full-time, double cardan standard slip front shaft
- Yes, i would feel comfortable with her driving it.
In an emergency swerve it feels comparable to most
other 4 inch lifts i've driven. Add a swaybar and call it a day.
- Hydro bumps are not necessary. I just decided to go all out.
- As far as i know, Brian is offering this in kit form!

By the way, what trail did you run? That last pic reminds me a lot of the slope walled canyon of Slick Rock...
It is Slick Rock! Swamp Lake or Rubicon are on the menu for the weekend of the 4th.

Minus shock mounting it's $3470 with Resi shocks and Air Bumps.
Justin went and upgraded to air bumps and resi shocks. If he had gone with Emulsion shocks and poly bumps it would have been $535 less.
