I had done this on my 60 ages ago (since sold) and now want to do it on my Troopy... is there a known solution to replace the short hard brake lines to the calipers with longer flexible hose? (if you don't know... this makes replacing brake pads, rotors etc MUCH easier as you can move the caliper out of the way.)

I just got mine after delays. I'm doing the same thing to my 60 as I rebuild and install ARB's.

Received the raybestos stuff today... It looks right.

More expensive than the Raybestos Lines from RockAuto, but another mud member turned me on to these 21" Stop Tech Stainless lines that also work:

Available from Amazon and Napa:

Cool... Does that fitting on the line slide or is it fixed in place?
It’s snug, but does slide. Makes a good contact point to secure with a zip tie to the backside of the wheel/backing plate

I like to use 96940-34305

It's the fitting that's supposed to attach to the bracket that's normally the connection point between the hard line and the soft line, right?
Yes, that is the fitting that would hold the brake line out of the way. This brake line is for a Nissan 240, so that fitting does not have a location to attach to on our trucks. I'm sure something could be rigged up so the line holder could be utilized, and attached to the backing plate/block where your soft line ties into the hard line at the wheel. Alternatively, you could remove the backing plate/dust shield completely and use this backing plate eliminator/brake line holder:

Here's a couple of photos from a 70 series using those lines:

Hopefully that answers your questions. Also, the PN @cruisermatt posted is a long OEM hose that will accomplish the same thing and doesn't have the superfluous brake line holder fitting that is on these stainless ones.
