I only have my phone so I will how this works. There will be no order and will only post a few. The trail was liberty and we drove in and back out. Had to move a fj that was broke and abandon in the middle of the trail. The top was made by a local guy he used boat vinyl and only charge like a hundred I think. I had him make tje sides down farther so rain would run off. Here is dome pics I hope.

The pit bulls where awesome gripped like mad. I had them down to 15psi and should probably do 10

Man that truck looks good. Glad you like the pitbulls, I'd like to get a set myself.

Yeeeee haaaaawww!!!!
I can not wait for my maiden voyage!!
Good for you. Looks great out there!

It was a blast we didn't get vary many pics going back out due to one guy in the group broke and we spent a couple hours getting him out another way. Uphill is defiantly way more fun. Will post some more pics later.

Today I unloaded the cruiser and back it off the trailer and noticed that the steering was locking up turning right. So after turning back and forth it gave way and worked. Today I replaced the IAC again the high idle is kicking my butt can't seem to get it figured out. Works then doesn't, anyway back to my point. I replaced the censor and drove down the highway to reset IAC and went to turn and it was locked up no right and a little left turn. A very s***ty feeling by the way. So after some time it broke loose and I drove to a shop. We took the sterring wheel off to see if somethiing was binding beacuse that is what it felt like. Looked okay and started and turned fine. Reinstalled and put steering wheel in tilt to drive away and nothing. So inline with colum steering works okay in tilt it locks up so must be the joint inside. Has anybody had this happen before or did I get a bad colum. I am running a solid 3/4 DD shaft and Borg joints. I never really hit anything hard on the front and if so I would not think it should break the colum. Called Summit and they are replacing the flaming river colum. Do I need to change the set up I do not want this to happen again.

man your 40 looks awesome. great pics! i was out for my maiden voyage on pitbull rockers this past weekend and they are unstoppable. im running 10psi and will probably drop to 8 next time out. 8 is the limit without beadlocks for me.

I had a set of 37 13.5 17 rockers on my Tacoma and ran them at 4psi without beadlocks and they did great. They would burp every once in a while.

Trying to knock some stuff out before BHCC. I got the front radiator hoop and stinger built. That was kind of a pain to get it all centered and lined up so it looks good. I used a total of 4 7/16 bolts to mount it to the frame rail then welded it to bumper. That way I can remove it when I build a motor. Turned out nice.

Also made some front bump stops. I went with the non man tackle version:grinpimp:

Hopefully tomorrow at work I can get a box built that will go behind the back seat. It will be 40" long about 8" wide and 8" tall. That way I can store tools and and hopefully axle shafts but will see just going to butcher some wood and stain it. Should keep stuff from rolling around and in one place.

Nothing wrong w/ man tackle bumps. Only true men run em that way!!

lol:hillbilly:

The gear box is working good. I have not had any problems with the steering getting bound up even with the front locker. I am pretty surpised actually I had it in some tight spots at the BHCC and never had a problem. I did learn that I will have to rework a few things on the cruiser but that will give something to do at least. I did however come home with my first rock tattoo pretty proud of that dent:steer:

Well one of the first things on the list to get done is a fan shroud. I run about 200 on the trail but on the drive back it gets about 212. It is a bone stock TBI305 with a 180 thermostat. In SD it was not that hot when we where there but there was not alot of air down in the creek bottoms either. I am just affraid this will become and issue and really just dont want to worry about. I have a couple questions for you guys.
1 I am replacing the 3 blade fan with a 5 blade fan do I also need to replace the clutch since the fan will move more air having 3 more blades. More resistance to clutch
2 I see some with a ring around the outside and some without what is the difference?
Thanks for any feed back I am not very motor savy.

The ring should not matter either way. I would just make sure the shroud covers about 1/2 the fan blade width. Basically, the fan should be about 1/2 of the way into the shroud.

I would pull a fan and clutch from a car/truck so you know what make/model it came from. You have the option to purchase a heavy duty clutch for some vehicles. The heavy duty clutch is thicker and will require a little more room but is designed for towing, etc so should cause the fan to lock up sooner and hopefully draw more air. A couple of friends are using TBI engines from 89 - 91 Chevrolet trucks and the stock fans are working well for them. I think they are 6 blades (give or take 1). I think this would be the right rotation fan for your setup as well.

I'm using a 7 blade fan from an 83 chev truck and then I purchased a heavy duty fan clutch for it at a local parts store. Works well. Pictures below. However, I think you'll need the reverse rotation fan because of the belt system on yours. Mine is the older v-belt style.

Cool thanks for the reply. I am going with a 6 blade fan and heavy duty clutch. I think the shroud is in hold for a bit.
