Where abouts in Suomi are you? I took a trip over there in December of 93. Helsinki all the way up to Rovaniemi. It was cold.;)

Thanks. I don´t know the exact number of Pigs in Finland, but they are quite rare. I had one also about 8 years ago, but i sold it then. And my friend has three Piggies! ;) By the way, this present Pig is former fire truck. It has only 100 tkm total. And 10 tkm after modifications and full engine re build.

I live near Lahti, about 100 miles north from Helsinki. This summer has been hottest summer in hundred years here in Finland! :)

Never was that smart. Got not one, but two 55's. The tan and white one has been in the family for many years (the wife camped in it when she was a little girl in the 70's) and the dark blue one arrived just last week. The tan one has beyond terminal rot (it is dropping quarter panel and floor material on the road at an alarming rate), and the blue one has......less. Blue makes up for it with LOTS of horrible bodywork and a truly terrible paintjob. Both run pretty well, although the tan one has a burned-up clutch. Tan is a '69, blue is a '70.

Cool forum, cool thread. Maybe now I'll pay some attention to the old 'Cruisers.

Sad to hear the '69 is beyond terminal.

I like those early ones.

Hope you can save it so you and the wife can keep going camping in it!

Thanks. I've been on the lookout for a derelict '55 doner that has a less rotten body shell. I've run across a couple over the years, but acted too late on each one. I certainly do not want to scrap the truck.

Speaking of which, does anyone know anything about the '55 body sitting outside of a propane station along I-25 in Las Vegas, NM? I've seen it twice in the past few years, but never had the chance to stop and speak to anyone there about it.

Here is a '68 in CO Springs:

No pics, so I can't say what kind of shape the body is in...

Mostly stock. F motor with 3 speed on the column. Looking for suggestions on best mods for the F motor. Front discs ready to be installed. Roof repairs needed on both sides along the rails. The rest of the vehicle is virtually rust free. Pictures attached are above CSUSB and from a trip up to Calico ghost Town.
