It certainly is rare on mine. The '69 speedo broke in 1973, the '70 speedo broke in.........November.

Just about bone stock.
My dad bought her in the mid 70’s and after a few years of begging, he’s decided to hand her down to me. Most of my childhood memories somehow involve this rusty old FJ. Grew up in Cali and we took her to just about every trailhead, campsite, fishing hole, etc. we could find.
I’m currently trying to restore her to a safe, dependable family truckster. We’ll see where it goes after that.

I'm trying to decide on whether I should keep her together (rolling restoration) or taking the body off and giving it a complete overhaul.
