Just about bone stock.
My dad bought her in the mid 70’s and after a few years of begging, he’s decided to hand her down to me. Most of my childhood memories somehow involved this rusty old FJ. Grew up in Cali and we took her to just about every trailhead, campsite, fishing hole, etc. we could find.
I’m currently trying to restore her to a safe, dependable family truckster. We’ll see where it goes after that.

Very cool family tradition with that Pig!
You should look up a resto thread by Scorcher (or something like that). He pulled a Pig body all the way off the frame and sent it out for media blast and all metal repair. This would be a significant undertaking, but unless you like grinding off paint with air tools (think messy) this could be a nice way to go...

This Pig seems to have lived a majority of its life in Georgia. I have traced ownership on it, and I appear to be its 5th owner. Trying to track down the original owner to complete the line, and maybe to offer to send a pic or two.
Intentions are to make it nearly original again, with some minor cosmetic modifications. I presume the Pig was all white originally. It's current coat of white is a repaint. Don't think any of the codes anywhere on the wagon indicate the original color for this model year? New to pigs, so someone let me know. Intend to paint it Pollux Orange and Cygnus white. OEM steelies, 4" lift - either Alcan or OME. Very similar stance to Heather's (k9crazy) red and white 72 Pig.
May do a narrow front bumper with winch, and a swing out tire carrier on the rear. Will keep OEM F and 3 speed tranny until such time that it's no longer practical. Desire is to do an authentic restoration, and go mild from there.

Looks good... I'd get rid of that 3 speed though... once you go 4 you never go back... much better ratios. Ah then there's the H55... Anyway enjoy!

yes, you'll have to use the 4 speed bellhousing and it will be easiest if you use the transfer also.
