Been treating the rust with this stuff. What is everyone else using? I have a POR 15 kit that I will use later after all the metal work is done. Additionally, Hot sauce is lethal to transformers.

Tomorrow - Finally a warm enough day, will move the 55 away from the lift and into the front of the Shop. Have other stuff that needs to be able to fly (on the lift) - high to repair. It seems like there is always 200 million things to do and never get caught up. I have used the check box-task list for years while I active duty Air Force. As a retiree, I still use that each morning to try and get something accomplished. I am really task orientated person and have to get something done.

Made contact with a Fellow Ih8mud member, local to my area in Fort Walton Beach, Floriduh. Has 2 FJ55's one parts and one good one. Will meet with him in 2 months when he gets back. Headed to Brimgham on Thursday. UAB clinic will do there magic and insert a ballon into my throat and expand it. Hopefully the procedure is first thing in the morning. It does help with swallowing for a little while, being a tongue cancer survivor this was that natural progression to have difficulty in swallowing. Since they nuked my throat during radiation treatment. Its all scar tissue. Hopefully we will make it to the Twisted Kilt for dinner on Thursday night.

Got home and this was waiting for me. Under coat gun and extended nozzles. Gonna run some of that under coat stuff down the cavity’s and underside. From what saw on you tube, homemade stuff is just oil / grease tube / boiled linseed oil/ and a scented candle/ then thin the mix with diesel or whatever. Everyone is pretty clear that it is better to spray warm so it flows out the gun better. Will report when I try that. Lastly, Amazon prime series the “Expanse” is a recommendation for watching. The show only covered the first 4 or 5 books, the series ended and in the books there is a 100-160 year gap or fast forward to pick up the saga again. So far the book is pretty spot on for the show. With a little more depth of characters.

Still hammering away at this side - lots of parts in this area. The lower right windshield curve was completely gone. Started working my way across the bottom windshield lip filling in the holes from the spot welds. Put down a coat of POR 15 inside this channel and over some of the exposed metal that will be covered later. That front pan that was rusted out was POR15 also. Will just grind off whatever I need to weld other panel sections.

Don’t let the butter win! Used the plasma torch on a sliding buck to slice out one side for the 1in U channel for the back window. I don't have a sheet metal brake big enough to make the channel. This worked out really well. Need to do some small clean up on it.
