If someone would not break the press every time he did a lift we should finish up by dinner sure..... only on store run #2 so we are ahead of schedule in some ways lol

Back done, arms n bushings out, gone to pick up a new jack cylinder for the press.

Well if nothing went wrong that might be a problem right there...

Looking great gentlemen!

So true......
Well we will be satisfied with only having to buy a new jack cylinder for the press. Really no snags. I just had to give Steve a hard time cause it aint the first press thats given up during the process for him.

Looks great, rides great, now to take it wheeling.

The bushings were quite fused to the control arms. Nothing a drill, sawzall and chisel couldnt handle.

WE DID IT!! Another huuuuuuge thanks to @jfz80 for digging in with me and making this happen!! Man what a difference new shocks make! Truck rides and drives great. This is the 3rd 80 I’ve lifted and it’s amazing how easy it really is. I just gotta remember to not wait 8 years in between so I don’t forget everything again. Couldn’t believe the jack on the press went out, thank goodness Northern Tool is only 3 miles from the shop because I did make 2 trips there today.

Nice work guys. Truck looks dope!

My wife has highlander now and loves how comfortable it is but misses the lifted v8 4runner we had before her words are “it’s just not cool anymore”. Sorry @fj40z got off topic alittle.

So it’s lifted.... what’s next? :smokin:

That truck looks good before and after imho :)
Honestly I liked it a lot with just the tires. Almost to the point I wouldn’t have lifted it had I not had the lift already and I knew they would have rubbed a lot wheeling.

Haha don’t worry about off topic pal!! This whole thread is pretty much been way off topic since it’s inception. At one time this thread was called: TIT- The Innuendo Thread.

As far as what’s next I really don’t know. I wanna get another set of sliders in the works. My brother in law made the set for my green 80 and I loved em. Gotta get with him and buy some more metal. Other than that my maintenance list needs some attention.

So like I said now you want bigger tires ;)

Ha! That’s funny because as soon as we got the 80 off the jack stands yesterday Jason and I both said Al was right, needs bigger tires.

It's looking good
I miss my 80..... the 100 by far is a better driver on the roads and has a nicer and spacious interior but that really is all it has going for it. I imagine in a few years we sell it and buy an 80 again.
We will see how we feel after stuffing 35's on it, finishing its armor and putting in the front locker I have sitting here after I get the gears to go with it.

Believe me, I thought about that long and hard before swapping out the low miles 315 AT's on my 80 while staring at my stock LX. The death of the idea was the fact that it wasn't a lift that killed performance and MPG...
