The front cover is on and the rest of the Parts and pulleys are going on.

I'm kinda glad I don't have a starter, since it would be running now.

Looking very fine there !!!!!!!!!Glad ya got the KDP done. Now you can breath easier !!!!!!!!! Those things will do some carnage to some pricey parts.........I have not done it to my 6BT yet. it has 300K +/- on the clock and so good so far. I just bought it last fall and rarely drive it at the moment. Need to catch up on some PM's with it. Will get to it someday I hope.It is more common in the 2nd Gen. 4 & 6BT, etc. from what I have read on the Dodge/Cummins forums. Wonder why Cummins has not fixed it themselves yet. They are so good with other issues and this is a no brainer to fix once you have the front cover off. It would be a 30 second fix on the assembly line................

you sure those 2F mounts are gonna hold up?

keep up the good work dan. i like overkill.......

i spend 3/4s of my day searching for the wrench that i just had:lol:

Behind the air compressor? Starting to be on my first to look places.

blue and red? wth, were's the purple and the pink and brown? how boring:flipoff2:

Ford Blue for all the water/coolant lines.

Cumins Red for the "other" parts of the engine.

Ford Gray for brackets and serious components. (Easier to spot cracks)

Is it also all I had in my shop. :D

I will be posting pics in a bit.

Lets just say the hood is back on as well as the bib. :bounce:

First thing I did was forget about using the FJ 40 radiator and mounting system. A good nights sleep tends to allow you to see things clearly.

I used the FJ60 series setup instead. Larger radiator, larger schoud, larger fan, etc. These little Cummins run cool but as a trail rig I can see it getting warm while crawling along or waiting in trail traffic.

After a bunch of measuring, I welded the tabs in. They are way overkill but they work.
