I'd always heard they went to those in '73, maybe yours had some transitional pieces due to a late build date? Maybe that info is just wrong ... pretty sure Jason's '72 has the single. Anyway, those will work with your new gate and are what was there ... so run 'em! I'd be interested in the ones on there if not pitted ...So this isn't the correct tailgate, eh?

Just unloaded the heavy arse crate Poser's buddy built as a testament to the structural integrity of multiple layers of plywood when bonding with 45lbs of wood screws.
Listed as a 321lb pallet, yet I don't think the fenders and bare tailgate account for much more than 50 or 60lbs.
Once you get it in your mind strictly stock, then no debates.
I'm guessing it's a toolbag strap. Never seen one before and I cut out the brackets on mine. So, if you need this one, to make a new one, Ill send it out.
