Bunch of the folks this weekend had a mechanical gauge (kinda like the vacuum one) that I liked a lot. I need to check them out.

Worked pretty well actually. Went to HF and grabbed a 50cal can and it fits in there perfectly with room for the hose and clamps and there is even a little extra for things like the digital gauge and deflators.
Dropped the tire down to 15psi and hooked the pump up. Leads are long enough to easily attach to battery and stretch the pump next to the drivers tire with some room. Probably could pull it all the way under the drivers door if needed. Hose attached to the pump is about 6' long and has a screw on end which should be more then long enough to reach the rear.
After dropping the front tire down to 15psi, I hooked it up and let her run. I did not have the truck running but she was up to 37psi (where I have all the tires) within a couple minutes. The head of the pump was hot to the touch but not enough to burn you, figure if you give it a couple minutes to cool between tires then it should not have any overheating issues. Was actually surprised at how quiet it was too, I have had aquarium tank pumps that were louder when I was growing up, definitely not a whisper but pretty dang quiet.
All in all I am impressed so far for less than $60. Real test will be at the end of the month when we do the club run. The gauge on the pump itself is definitely about 3psi off, when I had stopped it it was reading 41psi on the gauge but when I pulled out the little digital it was showing me about 39psi.

Finally had a day where i could work on BeBe without much interruption. So took the opportunity to swap drivers doors.
Took me about 5hrs total with fiddling with different things and putting some of the parts in the buzzbox for about 30 minutes. Other than that was a pretty simple and easy job. Need to see about getting a new handle as I found a piece of broken return spring in the bottom of the door which is causing the door to open slowly from the exterior.

Hard to read but this is the little edge part at the front corner of the door. Single solid piece of rubber and metal, you can kinda see the code ends in AA4

Unfortunately the stupid little clip that holds the door pull rod broke, so going to have to find a new one. Door still functions properly but rattles a bit.

Oh and almost forgot... Shout out to @RAGINGMATT for awesome customer service and work. Had him cut two new blanks and recode a scavenged drivers door cylinder to my key code. Got everything in about a week and finally installed the new cylinder this weekend. His keys are awesomely done and the new cylinder is perfect! Highly recommend him if you have stuff that needs to be cut or recoded.

Been a bit. Nothing much been going on with BeBe other than her normal driving routine, couple camping trips and new electrical gremlin.
Gremlin started about a month ago during some rain storms with my neighbor called me and said "Uh G, your tail lights are on?" Of course the wife and I were out of town so my neighbor played with it a bit but couldn't get them to shut off so he pulled the fuse. When i got home, I put the fuse back in and nothing for a few weeks until his wife text me and told me the same thing (again during a rain storm). So I figured I had a leak somewhere that was causing a short. Haven't had any rain since so didn't think much of it.
Low and behold, today as the wife and I are packing up our campsite I look up and see the tail lights on again?! WTF?! Play with a couple things and can't get them to go out so I pull the fuse. Repeat of last time, put the fuse back in after a while and all is good.
So question is, sounds like the stop switch associated with the brake pedal right? Looking at the electrical supplemental shows that there is nothing else associated with that circuit (from what I can tell) and there really isn't a test procedure for the brake switch. New from ebay is about $20 so thinking I may just pull the trigger.
Wife is gone next weekend for a few days so figuring that I am going to take some time and get the remainder of the welding done so she can get painted in the near future.

I have a 62 but haven't looked at the diagram even for that. But Toyota ground switches a lot of stuff. Wondering if that is the case here? (Probably not because the body is right there to ground the lights to...) If so a wire grounding out upstream of the switch would cause the lights to come on.
If you can re-create or wait until the next occurrence pull the connector off the brake switch - if the lights go out then it's likely the switch.

Looking at my Haynes which covers the 60 they are not ground switched. Battery - fuse - switch - lights. Before you buy a new switch make sure there's no adjustment. If a return spring is weak it might not return the pedal all the way causing it to fall off the switch enough to make the circuit.
Or if there is a little rubber bumper on the pedal that actuates the switch it might be missing/squished/dried, etc.

Yeah, make sure the switch is adjusted properly. 99% of the time when brake lights stay on with a 60 that's the issue. And its a quick free check.

I will go back through the adjustment process and see if I can find anything wrong. Really this happens so rarely that it it hard to recreate. For this weekend, BeBe had been sitting for a good four days before I moved her and then the lights wouldn't shut off. This is part of the reason I was thinking more that the switch is dying.

Strange, no slop in mine whatsoever. I actually left the hinges attached to the body and removed the door itself. Think you can replace the hinge pin with another as I remember a thread floating around where a guy (@KWalkerM do you remember) was swapping his wheeling doors constantly and he created a quick swap hinge from the stock hinges.

Well BeBe is getting her first piece of "aftermarket" equipment in quite some time. Just placed an order with @NLXTACY for his Wits'End Gentex mirror mount as rearview is pretty much crumbling every time I touch it. Heading to the PnP tonight after work to go scavenge some mirrors and there happens to be an 80 still there that I am hoping still has the rear wiper arm so I can do that upgrade.
With regards to the brakes, I adjusted everything per the FSM and it was still just about spot on. Since the last occurrence the lights haven't come back on (to my knowledge) and I am unable to recreate the issue. I think it may have something to do with sitting for an extended periof of time (couple days or more) and then being driven. The wife will be out of town next weekend for a few days so I may take that as an opportunity to let BeBe sit (while I work on her) and see if I can recreate after that.
If that is the case, I am thinking that has to do with the switch going out?

Been a weird day for whatever reason, couple interesting things happened.
1. During lunch I did my normal bank run for the salon. Came out and as I am getting into BeBe an older gentleman that was parked next to me says "Excuse me, is this your truck?" Of course he was on the passenger side and I was thinking to myself "F#$& he opened the door and slammed mine." Turns out he just wanted info on 60 series Land Cruisers as his brother up in wyoming had come across a neighbor barn find. Showed me pics of a 90 62 that his brother had sent him.
Apparently the brother's neighbor had passed recently and the wife was in the process of getting rid of some items. One of which happened to be the guys original, off the floor, 90 62 that was completely unmolested. Had 260K on the clock, papers to go with all repairs and the only dents "seen" was two small spots where there had been impact by something and he had immediately taken care of with some sanding and primer. No rust was apparent anywhere from what this guys brother told him and the brother had taken it for a test drive and said everything ran well, no strange noises and the AC even blew cold air.
This guy had been somewhat searching for one when his brother came across it. Asking price, $4k! I told him that at that price, if what his brother is telling him is true and there truly is no rush anywhere, he could grab it and probably flip it here for a couple thousand extra. After we chatted for a while he walked away a happy camper and led me to believe that he was going to be heading up there soon to turn around and drive the truck home... So pretty cool thing.
2. I have been having issues with my heater for some time now. During the winter it blows luke warm air not matter what. The only thing I haven't done is a muriatic acid flush on it or taken it to a good rad shop to have them fiddle with it. I have been kicking myself for not taking the time to pull the one that was in the 60 in my local PnP at the beginning of the year to attempt to refurbish so I can have hot air in the winter (yes my rear blows nice hot air).
Couple weeks ago I saw one pop up on ebay that was a semi decent price at $175. Been watching it and the price keep dropping. Well this weekend I saw the sale end on it and it pop up again with a new low price of $129 plus free shipping OR BO! So just took a chance on it and sent an offer over of $95. It got accepted and is now on its way. Now watch, just because this happened I am going to be able to start blowing hot air through mine again.... At least I have a spare front heater core now, right?!

Yeah we will see when I get it. Supposedly it is complete and "ran well" according to the listing. This will just make me get in there once I get it all torn down for paint and everything. One of those "while I have it down" scenarios.
On another note, I purchased one of @NLXTACY Gentex Mirror mounts this week (should be here early next week) and took a chance and ran to my local PnP. Scored a Gentex GNTX-453 out of a 2007 Prius with the pigtail for a whopping $13! The 453 encompasses multiple GENK4Xa series that has the auto-dimming and homelink in it with some models even having the compass (mine does not). Looks like wiring will be stupid simple, three wires on the pigtail.... red, black and white with black line. Figure red is 12v, black is ground and the white w/ black is ignition (for auto dimming).
