Yeah but I think I have learned enough here that the thought process told me exactly what you said. So I just needed to confirm. She went out and about for a couple quick errands (one to grab another gallon of coolant to top the system off after when I burp it). Needle start to slowly move back down. She will rest for the night now, lots of rain going on out there (thankfully I decided early this morning to move her into the garage for this, almost didnt).

Tomorrow will be just topping things off, maybe replace the antenna with the OE style one I got from Cruiser Corps and some snowshoeing with the wife (if it isnt raining). She leaves to teach a class in the evening and wont be back until sometime Sunday so plan is that as soon as she leaves to pull BeBe into the garage and start pulling apart the manifold to flip the damn gasket. Hoping that fixes my manifold leak. If not then I will be ordering another from Onur, if that fails to do anything then may just go with doubling up the gasket. Onur said that since I basically just put it in I should be ok. Haven't even put 55 miles on her.

Wife ended up getting class cancelled so not gonna be working on the cruiser much this weekend. Oh well, ran her around town today while taking out oldest pooch to the vet to get his drain removed. Temp has pretty much settled. Definitely still air in the system as I hear the telltale sound of "scratching" behind the dash..... Like mice scrambling on newspapers.

Will probably top off the system tomorrow and run her around and maybe try and replace the antenna.

Remember to turn on your heaters too hot when burping. Just in case you didn't know!
That way system flowed through out.

Oh yeah I know. I just haven't done that part quite yet. She was blowing pretty warm yesterday but can't wait for it to be good to go!!

Well got around to replacing the old antenna and she was practically seized in there, was definitely the stock unit but toast. New unit is much better looking.

After doing some errands and finishing topping off the coolant we decided to take her out for some fun! So great to have her back and wheeling, hit lots of stuff I wouldn't have in the past mainly due to the bad suspension but now she is running stronger than ever!

Can't tell you how elated I am to have her back again! Now to fix the exhaust and get her breathing good again!

What did you paint that with?? Looks kinda like mine. Glad to see its up and running, wanna come help me with mine? Lol

@WhiteTiger911 Paint job is some crappy overspray by the PO... Original color is 8B4 Midnight Metallic Blue but was sprayed with what looks like Ford Medium Grey. There are a few spots on it that are flat black-ish because I have done rust repair and used a rust inhibitor paint.

Awesome to see your rig out and about! On your front bumper, do you just have 2 lights screwed on there using the existing holes?

@sitesbyjoe Yes they are in the existing holes in the bumper...

hell. yes.

nice work Greg. stoked for ya!

Greg, what's the story with your sticky throttle? You figure that out or did it just go away (like it sometimes does)?

Haven't figured it out yet but not sure if it is because the throttle is sticking or that there is a vacuum link not allowing me to hold idle below 1k. I can pull the pedal with my foot and it will stay down until I touch the pedal again. Gotta get some time to pull the accelerator linkage apart to and clean it again in hopes that is the issue. Not quite sure what the deal is but until I can get time to flip the manifold gasket I am leaving it be. I do feel a small stick point right as I am starting to press the pedal so thinking it may be at the firewall point where the linkage comes through the firewall.
