Looks great! Wish my dad would have done this with me when I was a kid. What a great thing for ya'll to do together. What color is this? I like it. Cheers

transfer case problems

I have only drive the truck about 40 miles since restoration. When i was putting the truck back together i noticed that the transfer case(which was part of the unit from SOR) would not shift like it should. I new i would address that later, but now it is in 4wheel only and will not shift into 2wheel drive. I have not taken one of these apart, but is there a simple solution.

A couple of years ago i sold the 82 to fund expansion for the company I own. I have regretted it ever since, I didn't realize how attached my daughter was to that truck. I found the replacement, an 81. It should be here on Friday and I plan to surprise my daughter. I am more excited about her than the truck itself. I don't know what level of restoration we will do on this truck yet.

Awesome. Man, I'd love to get my daughter involved with one of my builds once she is old enough. You are a good dad.

That is just too Kool, using an FJ40 as a Father-Daughter Project. Even though my little girl was more the competition cheer type, she didn't mind helping her old dad in the garage. She has run most all the tools in my arsenal, and has help me wrench on my 40 when needed. Heck, after cutting the grass, she was pouring concrete just last weekend for a small pumpkin project....:hillbilly:

Kudo's to you, my friend!
