In my ongoing quest to replace every single rubber bushing on my high mileage 200, I came across this…

Never seen it mentioned or discussed here.

Claims “considerably more suspension travel with supporting mods” and supposedly helps with “Lean”

This is of minimal interest to me, as I’m not building a crawler, but found it interesting as I’ve never seen it discussed here for those trying to eek out as much travel as possible.

Its also about $30 cheaper than the stock unit replacement

Thoughts?

My understanding of the KDSS system leads me to believe the balance of front to rear depends heavily on the length of the front and rear lever arms.

Changing the length of one but not the other in proportion seems like it could upset this balance.

Thanks. That sounds logicial

I’ll honestly admit I don’t have an understanding of how it works yet. But will eventually do some reading up on it

Mine seems to work well and I’m very happy it on road and in the twisties, but haven’t had it Offroad yet. Waiting on sliders

I put a thread together on the valve internals and very rough understanding of how the rams work.. still want to do something more in-depth on the lever arms and geometry, but too much on my plate for that for the foreseeable future.

Here it is though

I researched into this some time back after stumbling across this extended travel bar on ebay. Couldn't find any real world reviews/test results. If i remember correctly it is designed to be used in conjuction with the front kdss sway bar bracket. Does the front kdss bracket extend travel? Never heard of this before.
Considering my rig's travel is already limited by the fender liner/wheel wells with 34" tires that rub at full articulation i dont see a benefit. Maybe after a body lift and 35"+ tires i'd consider running this bar.

Good info, thanks for sharing. Interesting
