The last time my 40 saw 88 mph was in the early 1980’s

30 years ago a buddy of mine with a 75 2F and a Holley carb pushed his 40 out to 100mph. He said he thought he was pretty close to having the windshield glass in his lap!

Worst part was, he was chasing a convertible driven by someone with a long mane of hair, and when he caught up, it was a guy!

Yea i wouldn't know whether to be watching the road, the temperature gauge rising, or the fuel gauge descending at that speed.
Don't think i need to worry about any of those with my H though; slow and steady wins the race
