Are the 1F engines stamped “F” and 2F engines stamped “2F” on the block? I have a 1972 and the engine is F282533. Looking at these two websites, little bit of a discrepancy for years (pre 1969 on SOR and 1978 on lcnation) unless I am reading it wrong.

Thoughts?

Just trying to figure fluid requirements/capacity on everything before I start changing.

Around 6/7 1969 block

You can check the casting number:
Casting Number Deciphering (FJ40jim)

casting number is on the manifold side of engine...

example: 11202

Yr / month / day

1971 / December / 2nd .... or .... 1981 / December / 2nd

All good info. Thanks.
