Eibach pro-truck lift kit review? (4 Viewers)

I installed this lift a few weeks ago along with SPC UCAs on my DD 470. It’s great, I’d say a little stiffer than the normal stock setting but it helped with the brake dive and body roll immensely and is still very plush. Install wasn’t bad at all- it helps to have a second body if you’re doing the “spring compressor-less” install but it can be done by yourself (I did). Overall I would definitely go this route again for my usage.

Any word from people who have taken their Eibach kit out on some more gnarly trails? Wondering how the offroad performance is? Articulation, etc

Hi Guys,

Just a heads up, I work at Eibach and own a GX470 with our kit. I can try to answer any questions you may have on this kit. Just chiming/sub'd so I can see notifications.

I've been with Eibach for 10 years and was involved in the initial prototypes of this kit.
Hello tanner will this kit work with bilstein 5100?

The look identical in the pictures... i already have the shocks i just need new coils.

Also what about bump stops?

Thanks

Yep our springs work great with the 5100’s. To be honest I’m running the factory bump stops still.

Hey Tanner,

Is there an updated ETA for that rear spring adjuster? I need to get my rear swapped over from air asap. Was about to purchase a different kit but came across this on gxor.

Really curious to hear from people who have the Eibach lift installed about ride quality. I am leaning towards this suspension for my '04 V8 4R, the only concern I have is the digressive valving of the shocks.

The reason I ask: I drive mostly surface streets, some highway; and our trails tend to require slow going. So overall, I am very curious about performance or feel at slower speeds.

Having had digressive valving and even a high-end suspension (Radflo) on my GX, I got really tired of the slow-speed ride where I felt every single pebble onroad and offroad was rather rough. (I'll not be pre-running Baja or other desert areas, so I don't care about high-speed performance.)

Thought I'd chime in with my experience here- I installed the kit on my 470 a month or two ago. This kit rides really well, on fire roads and bumpy mountain roads it feels just like the stock suspension which is amazing.

However, I measured before and after heights and only gained about 1-1.5" in the rear (noticeably lower than the "high" setting from the old airbag height control). It's installed on an otherwise stock vehicle, and heights were measured on level ground with half a tank and an empty vehicle. Poking around the GXOR page, it seems there's a few people who have also installed this lift and saw little to no difference in ride height. I'd love to hear your input on this Tanner, the rear springs are not quite what I expected.

Another thing to note is that the kit doesn't increase droop travel over the stock configuration. The limiting factor is still the sway bar end link. I plan to switch to a set of 2nd gen 4Runner end links to see if I can get to the end of the shock travel in droop. I did not measure how much longer the new shocks are compared to the stockers, but I'm curious to see if they offer more droop.

That photo looks like the rear is at least as high as the "high" setting with the AHC, no? Your tires look bigger too so the lift will look like less as that tire takes up more space.

These kits are one sale currently for $688, which is pretty tempting. I would also need to purchase the rear air to coil conversion kit also, will the stage 1 without the cone shaped isolators work with this setup? Thanks

Yotamafia and Peak Suspension claim to still have it in stock as of last night.

The coil conversion are included with this kit.

Went ahead and got one as well, wasn’t planning on lifting so soon, only had the truck a few weeks now, but the price is hard to beat

I like that stance.
My brother in law is looking to (have me) lift his '09 GX. I installed the Toytec Boss on our 2010 4Runner and really like it, however this looks like a screaming bargain and would meet his needs perfectly.
What size tires are you running and what height did you have the front suspension set at, 2" or 2.8"?

Thanks in advance.

Got them... and the better is that once i bought them ...

discount on eibach website...:banana::flush:

will post some before and after pics...

Installed this on my V8 4Runner this weekend, haven't done much driving on it yet but expect to be very happy with this over time:

Nice! I have sag in front end of FJ I have heavy bumper and steel skids and heavy wench. I do not see on Eibach site where you can get different springs?

Can you order them assembled?

Is this kit just for the 470? Or the 460 too? I don't see any at Yotamafia or Peak Suspension.

460 kit will be slightly different. Currently all done designing and just need to get them produced down on the factory floor. We are based in California so Covid restrictions are high again, I'd expect the 460 kit to be ready in couple months unfortunately.

Do you have a heavy spring one for the sag I have on FJ??
