Good little drive yesterday...certainly get a few looks and double takes.
River dog with @Onur and I today and he had some good swimming time. He's a pretty lazy swimmer. My last GSD would leap into the water to fetch his toys, while Cooper sort of looks around to see if someone else could maybe get it for him. Not exactly exemplary work ethic when he's in the water.

While my wife and I are buying a house in Tennessee, we left our dog, Lela at a "doggy play place" called "Unleashed". Lela is a rescue, with aggression issues, and they are helping us slowly habituate her so she gets along with both other dogs and people.
They just sent us this picture, which seems to indicate their efforts are succeeding.
One thing, though; Lela's mouth is freakishly large. And she can unfold her jowls like she is some space alien.

One of our rescues had issues when we first got him. Took about a year for him to really settle in to his true personality around people. Now all he wants is human attention and belly scratches. Lots of training and love and it's amazing how they turn around. They don't hear anyone drive up in the driveway but take the lid off of the cookie jar.
