144K engine has never been opened.

2 teachers who's 80s I work on regularly have about 120,000 each on original HGs.

In fact, I can't think of any in the Chicago area that have had them.

Woody, Chitown40, NW-Sickboy, Waterush, Archie, Scott, and Bryan here on the list are all running their first HG, I think.

maybe it's the weather and altitude in the midwest.

Let's see. I made a poll

180K+ Original HG.

170K, original HG

162,000, Maybe running on borrowed time. (I'm radical that way)

156K, original.....hope we're not jinxing ourselves.....

151,000. Original HG

158.000 -original HG and waiting for it to go.

97 with 136k replaced HG at 126k due to failure while doing a full cooling system flush.

Original Headgasket blew at 94,000mi. Replaced along with the water pump, radiator, t-stat, phh and some other things. I didn't have to replace those items I just thought i might as well while they had the engine torn apart. Truck is at 100,070mi and runs amazing:beer:

There might be some missing info here..., perhaps folks should be adding their location. I suspect that the head gasket issue might be related to challenging cooling conditions.

Mine was sold in Phoenix, moved to Dallas and then Los Angeles, Ixtapa, Los Angeles & now back in Phoenix.

That'd be the point of the other poll
