I wanted to get an update from those that have the LEDs in the headlights. Pros, cons. Are oyu using Depos or OEM glass? Nick told me he is not doing projector upgrades anymore and I need better light. Any help is appreciated.

Do not do the 9,000 lumen lights in the low beams it is way way too much.

You can see the stock low beam on the passenger side and the high output LED on the drivers side. This is still on low beam

[BayouFJ80] What brand are you using and what lumen do you recommend? Depos or OEM glass? [BayouFJ80]

I am using basically the VLeds LMZ 4500lm(ea) in both high and low position in the stock LX glass housing, but they are stupid in the low position way too bright.

I would say you could go with the 4500lm in the highs but do like 2000lm in the lows.

I have LEDs in my OEM glass and I love them. They give more modern look at night and much brighter. Only thing I don't like is they flicker when you start the cat which I'm sure you can fix somehow.

This! I've done the same and the 4500 are seriously way too much. Never been flashed but I aimed mine a little on the low side out of guilt...

Yeah I don't know how I don't get flashed. When I was taking the before and after pics the lights hurt my brain. Lol

This is on high

Yes those are much more like what everyone is using for headlights. There is an entire thread on it here and which models and brands people are using. Many eBay models, etc. I am on my phone or I would search it but it is on here.

I have I think around 3200lumen ones in stock headlights for low beams. Never really get flashed with them. I do love them the light the put out is close to making the road look as if it's daytime no yellow tint like older halogen headlights

So is this a significant upgrade over the John Deere HIRs? I've been running those for a few years now and compared to my projector halogens in my GX they are crazy dim. I'd like to keep my stock glass so I'm worried about the scatter of an insanely bright light.

Ahh, headlights, just another item on my list of upgrades down the road. My stock hl's are dim, and with not having a rear bumper yet it's striking the stink bug pose, illuminating the ground in front of the lights. I did drive with the high beams on the other day, night I should say, and wasn't flashed by anyone, nor did the beams project too high with stink bug butt. @scottryana if you get a minute later, could you post that link mentioned, I'll be doing my homework over the next month or so before purchasing my lights, and probably a 25mm front spring spacer for now, the rear super badass land tank train crusher rear bumper isn't going to happen for at least a year or more, and I'll probably get a pintle mount tire holder like azonic picked up, for the time being. Thanks in advance, I need to learn more about these before dropping the coin. I had a really nice one in my harley, but that was donated to a buddy who helped me when I needed a favor.

I tried to find Depos online and they are out of stock and not sure they will restock, but I believe the demand is still high enough for them. Especially compared to replacing an OEM one ( I have one that is cracked) . I almost bought Vleds around Christmas time but held off cause they don't give them away. Looking at their website recently looks like they have upgraded their offerings. I like the fact you can adjust to roate bulb for desired "pattern", but that also means loctite on the collar which is fine. Ther warranty is like lifetime leds. I appreciated the photos and replies. Thanks.
