My LX needs a new drivers side lens anyway, but I'd rather keep the nonbumper lighting stock, if I have a choice.

So those are just side markers to begin with? Signals being down on the bumper? That's weird how they did it!
Yes, it's nice to have choices. But signal lights built into the bumper will cost more money, look less clean (IMO), and will be one more thing to break. You'll also need to mask off those 'in-bumper' signal lights every time you touch-up paint the bumper. That is true, but if he has an option to not do that it should attract more LX interest. I know I would prefer not to drill into my stock lenses OR biy new LC lenses. But obviously I will do it if he doesnt have an alternative.
Correct, the LX OE signal light shares a housing with the fog lamps below. As said, the LC/LX corner lamps are different. The LC uses a slightly larger socket (and different type bulb). So those are just side markers to begin with? Signals being down on the bumper? That's weird how they did it!

I'd second that. Before this vehicle I had a 2nd gen 4runner with bumper signals. I rewired them to the corner lamps cause I didn't like that you couldn't see the signal from the side at all. Both locations as signals would be ideal IMO...I have a LC but if you LX guys don't mind me sharing my thoughts. If it was me, I would choose to re wire the upper marker making it the turn signal. I think it is easier to be seen by other drivers than down on the bumper and that's the whole point of having signals anyways correct? Looks of course is always a persona. choice! Maybe a good idea would be to have both wired together, uppers and on the bumper!
I meant 'breaking' as in physical damage. Rewiring is easy and you can use all genuine OE parts (terminals, pins, etc.)As far as breaking, we are just moving the location of the blinker. I would feel I am increasing risk of failure by drilling or rewiring my lights so that I will transform my marker light into an indicator light equally, if not more than just moving it to a bumper. (Where it might look better!)
All one needs is a couple of cable (zip) ties!Another thing to consider is state's that require a front license plate.
If you had a license plate mounting option for those states it might bring more people your way too.
Those look soooo 20th century! Come on now! It's the 21st century and nobody is using incandescent lights now, try and find some LED's.What do you guys think of these?View attachment 1017385
I'm hopping for February or March. I don't do this as a business and still have a full time job but I will do my best. Pricing is still slightly up in the air but should be $1000 full bumper with guard, $800 without. $600 DIY with guard, $500 without. The price may need to go up $25-50 with the new mounting system. There will be several options available also for an additional $. Lights, blinkers, 2" receiver ect.So the burning question I'm sure everyone is asking, "When are you going to have this done, give us a price and shipping date so you can STOP teasing US!!!"

I've done that for years here in California.
