Boy, I wish I had the space you have to fabricate Benc! :(
I have a slightly larger than 1 car garage of which half is surfboards, wetsuits and surfing gear and the other half is my bench and tools. No place to really spread out and work.

Yeah, I got lucky. The house I bought last year has a 28x40 2 story shop.

The way a guy should build a house is:
1) Buy the lot
2) Build the garage, say about 4 car wide and 2 deep... And even a little more extra space for motorcycles, a lathe, mill, box and pan brake, tube bender, little welding corner and sports equipment!
3) THEN build the house around the garage!!

Picked up the new welder last night and man is it smooth! Should be able to get you guys some nice welds now. The first weld I laid out of the box before cleanup.View attachment 1018173

THANKS A LOT BENC!!!! THAT'S ANOTHER THING TO GET ME DOWN!!! :crybaby:
I wish I had the power to do nice clean welds like that!!!
I don't have 220 AC in my garage now where I live. All I have is 120 in my garage and a 10,000 watt generator, but it does not put out enough juice for heavy material when I use my plasma cutter, tig or mig. I wish I had the power to do nice clean welds like that!!!

That is a very nice looking weld.

Thanks guys. I am very fortunate to have found a house with a shop. It definitely makes fabricating much more fun. Next I would like to build a little welding/plasma room off the side with a fume extractor.

Here is the lower section all finished with the winch in and primed. I am pretty happy with how it turned out. What do you guys think of the over all design?

Love it !!

I LOVE it! It actually looks a little lighter than the ARB's and others. How much is it weighing in at?
Is it possible to have about 1.75" adjustment for a body lift??

Yeah the winch fits nice. I was really liking the larger holes in the front when I was bolting the light bar and winch fairlead on!

r2m- i still need to weigh it but I would say its probably around 75-85 lbs.

At 85 lbs. that's an awesome bumper. You got some skills man!

I still need to figure out the body lift brackets. It should be pretty simple though. I plan on make a 1" body lift bracket for sure. With this design it would be pretty simple to accommodate any body lift.
