Thanks. It does look like there is a slight step it the lx also. Either way I think the lines will complement both. As you can see I'm only talking about a 1/8-1/4"

Notice the straight edge.

@Keowee Ahh Jose's custom bumper. By far the sexiest/most creative build I've ever seen!

So I have had a few more interested and wondering if I can take more orders. I have decided not to put a limit on the orders as long as you don't mind the wait. I will be building and shipping them it the order they come in. What it comes down to is, for me to get a decent price I have to do ten or more at once. So any orders that come in before I have them cut will get these prices. Please email me with any orders. Thanks

BTW I'm out! :( :flush:

Nahhh! I"ll stay! Question: I remember you said something about using 10 gauge (close to 1/8) in place of 7 (3/16).
Was that for the whole thing or just parts of it? Reason for it? Do you think building the wings out of the thinner steel will be able to still withstand the trail abuse? They already have a pretty small total diameter towards the ends and I may be wrong but it would suck to land on a rock and see the wing all bent up! BTW they look great like that, don't make them bigger.

Yes they are all 10ga. The main reason is weight! And also some guys do not have the ability to weld thicker than 1/8". These rigs are already heavy enough as it is. There will be a combination of gussets and supports in several areas to assure they will withstand serious trail abuse. I have put a lot of thought and testing to come up with a design that is light weight and very stout. I should make good progress tomorrow and will get some pics of the various gussets.

I have the JD Squared Model 32 and I love it! I did an entire over the (camper) shell rack for my last F350 Crewcab expo vehicle.

Man, I wish I had the cash for this bumper! I would figure out a way to get my LX to you... LOL

Oh, as for the parking light / turns debate, I have a set of LC side markers waiting to go in. I would much rather have the turn signal up high and not in the bumper.

@r2m : I think you might be giving the zombies too many hand holds on the hood. :) Wicked!

@benc : I'm glad I can have some small part in upgrading your tool crib. Little is better than having the right tool for a job.

I'm not too sold on the Eagle Eye lights. First is questionable quality. I don't think you have to pay $100 for good lights, but I wonder how good they are. To keep them out of harms way means mounting them subflush on the bumper, which means an extra set of brackets that have line up and fit well with holes drilled in the bumper's skin. Doable, but not trivial with tolerance stack up. Directionaly adjustments are not an option. There doesn't appear to be a good way to hold onto the light while tightening the nut on the back, so finger tight may even be illusive, though I suspect there's a sticky rubber backside to provide some traction and compression force.

Also on LX lights, I've only had mine for a couple months and I hadn't noticed that the parking lights next to the headlamps don't indicate turns. This makes me more likely to rewire the turn signal lights to the parking light area. Then just have foggies down on the bumper where they need to be. This is bordering on a knee jerk reaction, but seems like the direction I'll go.

^^
I think the best way to go about the blinker thing, is to just have the lx guys send me the blinkers they want and I can put them in. Or they can install them there selfs.
Here are a few pics of wing gussets and winch gussets
