Got two of the three rides I was chasing after this weekend:
American lakes- mellow scenic ride. Pretty fun and somewhat close. I will get back here soon. Amazing high altitude ending outside a wilderness area and RMNP.

2nd day of hell. Amazing ride if it wasn’t for the torrential rain, hail, freezing wet temps, insane mosquito swarms and one hell of a hard single track ride. I was so tired at the end I skipped the fun technical steamboat flow trails lol. The huge decent at the end really hides the total incline just to reach it. Rabbit ears to steamboat spring gondola base- IF I even make this run again I would stop at the top of the gondola and drink a cold ass IPA, eat something and rest and bomb the park to the end.

Probably time to replace all bearing now.

Yea, that last picture was by the shadows, one of the most epic days I had with a fresh 42" of snowpack that day at Steamboat. One of my favorite ski areas by far. Place is like a jungle in a rain forest in the summer.

Grateful Gravel 2024 New Speedway Boogie Attempt...Oops...missed a turn and added 4 miles to what was supposed to be a loop.....Oops didn't eat enough and bonked medium hard. I could walk but only like a robot with no knee joints....I was super close to the end of this climb (Roxbury gap) but was shuffle walking using my bike to keep me upright about 1 MPH so I picked a straight section and stuck out my thumb. I got a ride back to the start. A dousing with a hose, a burrito, and a beer put me right. I will be back! This ride is too near to where I live not to return and try again.

Great work, Rob!!

Rode for the first time in nearly a week. It’s been so hot and humid in Massachusetts that I mostly stay indoors and hit the spin bike.
Still hot and humid, humidity near 75%. That’s like SC or Florida. No thanks. But had to get out. Did the local 8.25 miler. Wasn’t too bad as I was out before 8:00 am. Only when I stopped would the sweat machine start pumping. Soaked through all clothing again. Just a normal summer day for me.

Anyway, the ground is really hard now, like concrete. You can really put down the power coming out of turns. Cranking the corners on rails like downhill skiing.

Basically felt good all the way through and was moving fast.

Humidity should break by Tuesday.

Good stuff, nice work!

Back in Tahoe. MTB Mule Deer from the house to Angora Lakes and then over to Tahoe Mt. Then hike to the top of Echo Peak. A little smokey today.
I need to make it there some day. Good to know there are MTB trails in the area.

really wishing I could ride... so hot in Phx right now, even for a night ride

You need to make a jaunt down here right now…. It’s ****ing awesome here for riding…

Good for the gravelin’ or the hard tail MTB…. It’s not challenging but it’s super fun.
