Engine is ready to pick up from machine shop. Notes of scope below, for posterity.
*Block*
1. Boiled block and cleaned all gasket surfaces.
2. Bored block and finish hone to pistons provided to .002" clearance
*See note*
3. Resurface block to remove .010"
4. R&R camshaft bearings and cam plug.
5. R&R freeze plugs.
6. Remove, hand clean, and replace oil gallery plugs.
*Head*
Delivered ported, polished, and cleaned.
1. Bored valve guides to .344"
2. Cut valve seats for OS valves.
3. Recut bowls with angles cutters to blend into ported seat diameter.
4. Checked and adjusted assembled valve height. Shortened guides to assemble head with positive valve seals, retainers, springs and keepers.

5. R&R 7 freeze plugs
6. Resurface head removing .040"
7. Remove oil gallery plug. Tap and insert threaded pipe plug. Cleaned and seal gallery.

1. Torque and inspect new con rods.

2. Resize rod bearing end.
*Crankshaft*
1. Boil and Mic crankshaft.
2. Polished crankshaft.

2. Removes alignment dowels and resurfaced flywheel.
Notes from Machinist:
*Pistons*
First set out over 13 grams and not used. Second set within 1.5 grams.
*Block*
Original replacement pistons were too far out to balance. Second set balanced, but now .003" wall clearance. Should be ok, in fact better, for charged engine.
*Rods*
All out of spec from too tight to too loose, several. .002" out of round and new OE rods out over 15 grams.
*Engine*
Crank balanced separate to flywheel. New balancer. Flywheel resurfaced.
Balanced engine complete.
