For location lets keep the plan as @DominicanFZJ80 mentioned, I will call them later next week to make sure we are good. If that is the case I'll keep Little Fort as the meetup, since there might be other locations to get a pass for people depending on which route you take.

@JohnVee looking forward to seeing you

@DominicanFZJ80 if you look at the attached, Peter's Mill Run is trail number 433 and starts real close to Little Fort Campground. Top right of the map
That's what I'm basing my info off of. Also last time I did the trail I camped at Little Fort and it was at the base of one side of the trail, unless it's some other trail in that area. But I'm almost positive it was Peter's Mill...

Yep 433 is correct and it is real close; you can see the campground off to the left as you start on the OHV trail. Campground has an ATV path with a direct cut to Peters Mill FR433 (OHV & ATV). Your pdf and my image are the same. Problem is, the pdf is no where close to scale nor drawn in the correct proportions.

@afgman786 - Suggesting CLCC GMRS channel 3 (for out of the box Midland/Cobra Type radios, that would be ch16 w/ DCS Privacy Code 68). If you’re good with this, let’s bump comms info to post #1. I’ll have my radio on once I hit I-81.

If I can't wheel I will come up and get a truck load of wood with the chainsaw and hang out. Is channel 3 the same on the baofengs?

I haven't gotten a radio yet for my truck. Is there something that I need to pick up before this weekend or does someone have a radio that I can borrow?

Gave FS a call about the road to Little Fort Campgrounds. The road going from Fort Valley to Little Fort Campgrounds will be open, she could not guarantee the road from the watch tower to the campground being open though. The attached image for help. The top which is in red, might have a gate closing the path to Little Fort. Any of the roads below the green line will be open for sure.

I'm in will be driving the chebby truck though. Plan on getting a load of firewood and going to the south entrance. Maybe I can get a fire going and have a lunch ready at the parking lot.

Depends on if my son comes. If he comes I will get wood while he ATV's it. If he doesn't go I might tag along.

That's a shame if the campground trail road is closed. On the backside going down to the river it has some of the most challenging parts up there with some very cool switchbacks and a water crossing at the bottom.

Gotcha, 40 isn't capable of making it?

She said it was open today, just couldn't guarantee it being open Saturday.. (don't see why it'd be closed since there isn't any weather coming thru) but figure play it safe.
