Dan, this is a great thread! Keep the pics coming! Great to see this old iron coming back to life!

Dan, might be able to help you with the steering wheel if you still need one. Paul

This rig is actually in better shape than most of the rigs I see on the road. I could not see it going to waste being chopped up or ending up as a building platform for an ICON.

I'm hoping to make it my daily driver/parts runner truck on the weekends.

This is also a practice build, something closer to stock than anything I have done in the past. Once I improve my skills and flatten out a few learning curves, I will be starting on the restoration of my 1962 FJ 40.

Sounds like a plan Dan...but, to be fair, I knew the moment you drove up to pick up the '62 that it would be in good hands once you start doing that true restoration to it

Every post should start "I drilled the broken bolts out and then"....... LOL

I removed the fender, mounted the battery tray and ran the brakes lines and put a clutch line on it that reached the passenger side. :D

this project is coming along GREAT~~~~!!!!!!

Swapped out radiator support for a better one. Installed the fan shroud.

Use a hammer and an Anvil and an 8" vise and straighted out a Bib and got it installed.

Installed my spare windshield in the gasket but the temperature dropped about 20 degrees and my windshield installing partner already went into the house for the evening to start dinner. Frame is cleaned and ready to install the windshield.

This is looking good, Dan. I'll have to get out there and see it in person soon.
