... and you don't know half of it.

  • All of the hardware is stainless.
  • The windshield hooks and hood hooks are stainless.
  • Hinges are powder coated.
  • Bezel and grill were powder coated.
  • The front amber lights are OEM new.
  • Those H4 headlights ... WOW!

And then there is that special "EFI" badge.

Roundeyes.com ?

I got new headlights from them for the Taco. Night and day difference.

Damn Jon, that's really pretty....

 D-

Looks extremely good. Nice color - like ours, except ours has the heavy duty epoxy paint.

Of course that's to hold the bondo on...

Back up to the top. Significant progress last night, at least in the financial department. I sold the Camry. It was a hard decision. I really like that car, and from a practical perspective it would have been good to keep. Not only was it cheaper to run over the 4Runner, but the 4Runner is getting old and I liked having the backup. But, I want da'40 done, sooner than later, and right now it's the funding that is keeping me from progressing.

Besides, I don't really need a car. It's not like I'm dating or anything. :bang:

Congratulations on selling the car - I think. I bet a tear rolled down your cheek as it drove away. I still like my old Camry a lot. They are great cars. But if it will help you to get to your 40 goal, then it has to be a good thing.

Also, you don't think you could coax a date into the 4Runner?!? If not, then she's not the right gal for you anyway! :hillbilly:

The 4Runner would be kinda like a station wagon, no? ;)

I told a coworker yesterday I had good news and bad news. He asked what the bad news was. I told him I sold the Camry. He then asked what the good news was. I told him I sold the Camry.

Dan, you are evil.

Jon I have a Camry station wagon that you can borrow if required......:grinpimp:

Wait. How many vehicles do you have in your stable? Three FZJ80s, a Dodge truck, another old lumpy Dodge, a Camry wagon (which is news to me), and I seem to recall Sara drove something exotic like a Dodge Raider.

You forgot the 1969 GMC 3/4 ton pickup with a factory 396 big block and 4 speed (that is Sarah's truck) and the VW Baja (hers too)....

Yes, 1991 Camry DX station wagon (was my mother's car, she bought it new and most recently kept it at her winter home in Mexico). She was starting to worry about it's reliability (at 150,000 miles) and asked me to drive it out of Mexico and take posession of it. I tried like hell to tell her that it was far from finished but she declined my advice.

We drove it home and the POS only averaged ~30 mpg on the 750 mile trip.
