Jon,
You must not be as cheap as me and have not acclimated yourself to colder temperatures. In order to keep the PNM bill as low as possible, my thermostat is set to 58 during the middle of the night and day and I 'warm' the house up to 62 in the early morning and late evening for our 'comfort'. I don't need no stinking seat heaters. Just wear more layers.

Ummm, I have my house set at 55° at night and when I'm not there. But, 67° when I am. I hate giving my money to PNM (sorry John). One must remember I moved here from Palm Springs.

I have to say that I used to think seat warmers were nonsense until I got to use them. They are a nice option to have! They are very nice if your back is sore, use them for heat therapy:D
Between them and remote starters, life could be very plush:hhmm:

wait, what about bun coolers for those hot summer days?

Believe it or not, they've got those too! Some high-end vehicles also have cooled seats. I don't remember the details, but I'm sure I've heard of that before.

My sister's Infiniti has seat coolers. IIRC, they are AC vents that run under the seat.

More progress. When I bought the tires for da'40 I only bought four. Who knew they would go almost extinct? Well, a few years went by, and I was unable to acquire a spare. So with the new funds I went down to Discount Tire and ordered the spare. That was over two weeks ago. They told me a few days ago that the 35" MTRs were on national backorder, but they found a tire in Oregon. Today I received a call that it was in.

Ya done yet?

Goody, just what I need ... more "encouragement." Come on guys, Moab is still a month away.

Motivation!

Thanks Shawn for the haul. And yes, it drove up onto the trailer under its own power.

Cool.

How long before you are going to be painting again?

Dan

That is all weather dependent. I work this weekend so I will have a 4-day weekend next week. I'm going to work on the many loose ends. After CM I want to take the tub to a body shop for some cleaning, minor body work, undercoating, and primer paint. I then work the 4th of July weekend and I will have a 5-day weekend to work on the tub. Mostly lining the interior, and hopefully PAINT!

I do have some smaller bit's to paint still ... windshield, doors, fenders. They have primer, but they need color. That might happen next weekend if the weather cooperates.

Excelent fender clearance!

Good to see it outside.

It about time you posted some progress - I thought maybe you sold the truck! :D

Mark, I have only one thing to say to that ... :flipoff2:

Yes, back. I wish I could figure out a way to work from down there.

That is Great News Jon!

Don't let the detractors in the club get under your skin. You are making excellent progress. Gear shift knobs in 2008.... Exhaust this year.... Paint next year.... Top the year after that.... Change the fluids in 2012.... Pretty soon that thing will be ready for headlights.
