Different density of fluid, ultra sonic is basically sound. So freq change I suspect.
I got to unbox mine. Put it to work.
Yeah I'm sure it's something like that. Just interesting how dramatic the change is.

One thing I've noticed using this little toaster sized ultrasonic, is the parts that come out want to rust right away.

Definitely need a spray or a wipe down with something oily.

It's as bare a metal as can be, even proper body work since panels can't be oiled need sealer immediately but even oil
from your hands can create contaminated spots under the paint ( if one is being meticulous )
I used this new WD40 Gel on our outside gate, before winter, it's still super smooth and lubricated. All those little
locks and stuff need something like that within minutes of coming out of the cleaner.

Locks are actually pretty good for rust. Pot metal and brass or stainless mostly. Just the springs you need to watch out for, particularly the one on the key hole flap, but they're usually almost toast anyways.

I didn't leave these locks in the bath nearly long enough to get clean enough to flash rust, just a quick douche to free them up.

They're actually a lot easier to work on if they're still a bit sticky, the tiny little springs don't fall out and launch when you breathe wrong...

One piece of my order arrived. At least these look Ike they should go in pretty easily.

Quick test.

Pretty reasonable price I thought. About 40 bucks a side from amayama.

170 each from Toyota parts direct 🙄🙄🙄🤢🤮

Well this is a fiddly pain in the ass.

The new style seals that use these rectangular holes are easier to get and probably work better, but cutting these holes in the other door would suck.

Filling them also sucks. 🤣

Still thinking this is easier than the alternative but probably not by much... can't win. :meh:

Hoping to give at least one side of these a squirt of paint today.

This also made me chuckle.

Yep. Still hate painting. 🤢🤮

Didn't spray particularly well, but I got them covered at least. By the time I figure out what all the knobs on the gun do, I'll put it away for a year and forget again.
I'll thin it a fair bit more for the outsides I think. That's probably the main issue I had.

Well, I suspect they'll want another coat but that'll have to wait a few days. Apparently I have to go to work tomorrow.

That's some bull**** 🤣

Not perfect but cruisers aren't supposed to be.

Now if amayama would get their s*** together I could reassemble the damn things.

Last order is still "ordered from supplier" even though a human did check the stuff was in stock. 😒
