The front seats (SOR covers) faded pretty badly. the rear (which is folded down most of the time) are still good. These covers are being ripped apart by the upholsterer as a pattern for the rear seat
It took a custom lathe turned piece of aluminum to make that happen. But it is the ideal place for the Redarc control button. The controller fit real well above the glove box and under the padded dash- as the 62 dash cover is taller than the 60 version. I fab’d a sheet metal frame for that controller to mount to and worked the wiring into a new harness
@antichrist I've been accumulating all the grey parts to swap the interior of my 62 over from brown. Not looking forward to the disassembly and re-assembly process. Yikes.
SEM Vinyl/Plastic paint is your friend. Make sure to get all three parts: Cleaner, plastic/vinyl prep and base color coat (clear is a good thing too to finish it all up with)
OK, getting close on a number of clean up items on my 62 dash in my 60 Project. The one thing that is kicking my butt is the terminal numbers on the FJ62 relay. Here’s the relay Here are the terminals. Does someone have the terminal numbers or a picture showing wire colors on each terminal?

Alrighty - I bought the Procar seats because I liked the way they fit and the bolsters are very comfy and reforming- but
I am pretty disappointed in the durability of these seats - only 1 year old seats. The upholsterer is rebuilding the seats and re-enforcing the bolsters with a better foam and will wrap the springs. I would not recommend these seats. I wish I went at the BMW 3-Series seats
However, the upholsterer did make some great progress on the seats and the door cards
still need to fit and trim . And the front seats to fit but this is getting to look pretty nice. The Chiliwhich material with he leather is a great combo. the plastic weave breathes really well and is very durable.
It’s a local upholstery shop ((Smack, Jack & Whack). The whole thing is going to come in around $3k material and labor - door cards, all seats , A and B pillar covers and brake boot
The ‘62 dash was a great addition. I tried to upgrade the 60 capabilities to the 62 functionality as much as possible like converting the 60’s rear wiper into a 62 intermittent wiper ( its always been a little peeve of mine that the 60 rear wiper was “all on” or “all off”). The clock is something of redundant feature as the Kenwood -“everything in a double din” stereos certainly displays the time. But the original LCD clock preserves the style and original functionality .
I used the original 62 engine/seat belt warning lights and reprinted them with “Water in Fuel”, “Filter DP” (change fuel filter indicator), “Compressor”, and the Water Meth injection status LED. I converted the “Choke” Light to now read “Glow Plugs”. The 4WD light is now pared with a “Diff Lock” light - all within the stock 62 dash. These were the hard things to really integrate in the 60 dash.
I designed new map pockets and speaker grills that are off to the 3D printer. The headliner, Tacoma overhead console and ol’ tweeter-in-the A pillar trick are my next chores. But, I have wires, sensors, connectors ready to. I need to fab a frame to support things.

Looking great. Those B-Pillar covers especially came out terrific looking. Did your shop just cover the plastic with the vinyl or leather? Or did they remake the entire thing?
