That's pretty good . I think I'm not even getting that on a full tank. Now I have to keep an eye on it to compare. You're running 4.1 gears right?

Yes stock 4.10 gears. I think the dodges came with 3.73 or something like that.

Yeah I would always fill up right at 190-210 before. I haven't tested how far I can go on a tank yet. The fuel gauge always deceives you by not going down on the first half and then goes quickly on the second half. Diesel is the same price as gas here in the middle of nowhere Nevada. I'm surprised I have cell service here at the random blm campground.

I ended up sleeping in the 80 at the Petroglyph rec area. Heard some jets flying low but couldn't see them. Long day on the road today but made it Moab about an hour ago. Tomorrow will be getting up early to get my lockers working with Phils "locker anytime mod" since I don't have a center diff anymore. I don't have a plan yet for which trails I want to do tomorrow. Probably nothing difficult since I have to head out tomorrow night toward Denver.
I did get in some dirt yesterday for a bit just to do some testing. Definately needs to get stiffer springs in the front.

Here are my MPG numbers so far.
19.4 b20
21.2 #2
19.7 #2
20.1 #2 w/ Diesel Kleen additive
Before conversion I averaged 11.5 on my normal driving. I averaged 13.7 when I drove the truck to Portland. My guess would be I see 16-17 on my normal driving now. Not bad at all.

those numbers are pretty good. 17 is what I'm averaging right now. If you want more you can always regear. What's your EGT when cruising at say 70?

Normal cruising I'm seeing no more than 400. Inclines when boost kicks in 700-800. I may get a different gauge eventually. The one I have goes to 2400 so the low temps are hard to see in the pod on the A pillar.

Today I did some testing on Fins N Things here in Moab. Lockers work after the "lockers anytime mod". Never needed them except for testing. The squishy front ends was not as bad as I thought it would be. No issues there. The NV4500 is awesome. I rarely used the brake going down hill. It takes a lot of effort to stall it, and I tried just to see.
I had one trail repair. An unused auxillary nipple on the power pump blew its cap and dumped the resivoir. After I fixed that and filled it back up I was good to go. After cleaning up the fluids of course.
Now need to put in a switch for the "locker anytime mod" so the CDL light isn't on constantly. Would be great if I could have it engaged when in 4WD. Did an 85 60 series have a 4WD indicator light and sensor on TC?

So did you enjoy the ride on Rt 50? Pretty epic country.
It was. I would have not been surprised to see Toecutter or one of the last V8 Interceptors out there. Anyone know that movie reference?

Yes, it did.

The switch is still available from Toyota. The switch comes with a pigtail as well. Did your transfer case not have one on it? It should have.

I did a quick look last night but realized I just showered so it was stupid to be laying on the ground. Where is the 4WD sensor located on the TC? I will look tomorrow when I have a day of rest which in reality is a day of tinkering on the truck drinking beer.

I'm going to guess Vanishing Point, though I've never seen it? It was filmed on Hwy 50 if I remember correctly.

So I need to figure out my front spring situation. I have Slee mediums and he doesn't have a heavy. I have OME heavy in the garage but I don't think those and a spacer will do any better. Any suggestions?
