Up today is a sibling document to the one @CruiserTrash sent us. We just happened to be sitting on it and it had sequential document numbers. Cool! It covers the FJ40 and FJ55.

On the cover is a super cool race car that Toyota produced in the late 60s. The Toyota 7. I went down the rabbit hole a bit reading about it, and it's definitely worth the read if you google. A very cool car, especially the later bi-turbo V8 one. :D

Alright, I think we are done with this boot! :) Fit is great all around. Rubber is nice and pliable but tough.

We have one tiny tweak to do on the headlight switch boot, but that is done as well. We will work on offering both of these very soon. Thanks for the patience. We wanted to make sure we got it right.

I do have a column shift but I need:
Toyota 84610-30020 Switch Assy, Front Drive Indicator
Mine is not working.
I believe it is the same part as 84610-30010 Backup light switch.
Oooh, yeah that is a different switch. I believe there are generic alternatives out there and some NOS floating around like this one: NOS Toyota Landcruiser 4wd Indicator Back up Light Switch 61-69 Fj40 84610-30010 for sale online | eBay - https://www.ebay.com/p/25043760959

Is yours missing or broken?

Thank you for the clarification. One more question please. I did see that one on ebay before. In your experience even though a different part number do you think that will work for me in my Front Drive Indicator?
Just going on looks, I would guess both of those switches are the same functionally (switch to ground), just have different length wire leads. But of course, I cannot say 100% without both in front of me to test.

Another project about to reach the finish line. We went back and forth a little on how best to make this part, sorry for it dragging on! We really wanted to form it more like the OG one, and we still might some day once we make some metal press forms, but this flat brass version will be fantastic and no more corrosion like the original steel ones. I think this will do juuuust great. :D

Thanks! My old plate was super corroded as I’m sure most are now. Waiting on some more supplies to finish the batch. :bounce:
cant wait for these! I still need to find a solution for the rubber contact part in the column that the wires are connected to though. I have never heard the actual horn button work on mine. just a little after market button under the column witch I hate.

Mine has the plate and spring, but the rubber had disintegrated and the pin was missing. Mine also didn’t have horns, so somewhere in its lifetime the PO messed with it and I guess decided to delete the horns.

Are you talking about that fat rubber bushing at the end of the column? We may be able to remake that. I’ll see if I have one on hand to model.

I know a guy who does rubber molding if you need a hand 🤷‍♂️

I’ll probably be needing one in a few months anyway haha.
